I went to Enza Ramen, Saturday October 12, the day where they had Tonkotsu ramen price 50% off. When I went inside Enza the atmosphere was close to a normal ramen place. However, as a 17 year old japanese kid, I found many fake material blended in this atmosphere. When I sit down and look around there are wooden boards that have the different japanese food names written on there. These wooden boards are usually in a ramen places so thats good, but the writing was not something a japanese would write. Looks like they sold takoyaki at the place so they wrote takoyaki on the wooden board but the こ part connected the top and bottom part of the letter and overall the word was very messy. This applied to all the other words too, just very messy. When I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, all the requirements were there, seaweed or nori, noodles, seaweed, bamboo, egg and chachu. However, the ramen tasted like something a ramen shouldnt taste like. I wont say it tastes bad but as a Ramen it tastes horrible. The soup didnt have enough punch and the noodles just doesnt have the great satisfaction it gives when you eat it. When I said the soup doesnt have punch Im saying the soup is light broathed. Tonkotsu ramen usually has a strong broathed soup and gives the noodles a stronger flavor but you just dont get that. I felt a few spice flovrs tingling my tongue and they might be trying to cover it with spices but obviously it just didnt cut it for me. Also the chachu wasnt chachu, its supposed to melt in your mouth but the meat was hard and didnt have the melting chachu had. I never wrote reviews before so Im just writing down what I think but I wish for this ramen place to get better overall. It looks like its runned by Koreans overall but I think they need to study a little bit more on how to make ramen. Right now they might need to change the worlds best ramen place to the worst...
Read moreCame in around 8pm for dinner and we ordered spicy back rib (appetizer), chicken katsu, aji tamago donburi, tonkotsu ramen (extreme). My ramen came out first, and then the appetizer, then my daughters donburi, and then my fiance's chicken katsu. Did not take a photo of the other food since I wanted to quickly snap a photo and have us try the ramen! I do wish we all got our food at once. The spicy back rib was very tender and fell off the bone and the flavor was pretty good. Chicken katsu was OK, could have added just a little more of the katsu sauce as it was pretty dry but rice tasted awesome! Now, the ramen... it was amazing! I loved the flavor although I would've liked it a bit spicier! Most ramen restaurants I go to add the whole egg and not just a half and also more meat (2 or 3 slices) and this came with just one. The service was mediocre and mainly why I'm giving three stars. Our waiter gave us 2 cups us water though there was 3 of us and when I asked for another water he filled our glasses up more. I ended up just sharing with my child... there was a moment where we were out of water and just about finishing up our food and we had to wait. All the waiters went on break and were eating at the bar table. They were nice when they spoke with us but I think the breaks should be more spread out than they...
Read moreThe interior was great, but that was about it. My bf ordered the Enza Ramen and I ordered the Tonkotsu. His opinion was that the short ribs were fantastic but his noodles were sparce and there was too much cabbage. We both agreed that my Tonkotsu was flavorless and had no legitimate redeeming qualities. Rounding up, his ramen cost $14 and mine was $10. We have had much better ramen elsewhere for a better price. As for the service, this is where it really missed the mark. The wait staff was friendly, but not very attentive. We were the only customers at the time. Our first waiter came to ask if we wanted appetizers 3 times in a 5 minute period. Once we got our food, we did not get anymore service even after our waters were empty. Someone else finally came to give us our bill which we immediately put the card down for, but after 10 min of being passed by multiple times and no one coming to collect it, we decided to take it to the front desk. At this point there were only 3 other groups in the restaurant. All in all, not a pleasant experience especially considering the many better ramen places in Las Vegas. Our recommendation is Monta...
