Edit for the new twisty donuts- ...It's another donut shop. Like the kind you would find in Flushing, New York a dime a dozen. But with less things. Only donuts and drinks.
No more mochi. No more cookies. Not even their (eye roll) bagels.. ..As if, again, New York delis weren't doing it fine and cheaper.
No more buying boxes and bringing them to parties I guess. It would be embarassing.. "Hey everyone! I brought overpriced phallic shaped donuts!" Color me, no...
This new management has ruined the franchise. They had a winning, unique, distinct niche you HAD to go to them for. And this new manager must not be able to handle the success.
Gabi Main is just as bad off with all their drinks being, I don't know, coffee and coffee with coffee on top with half of it out of stock. And Oreo.. Hah! ...Oreo everywhere. I'm an adult darling. I can buy Oreo stuff at drive throughs after horrible breakups and self hate sprees... Every low grade grocery chain carries the hateful things and we all know what kind of moods I am talking about. We aren't going to go out of our way.. for another Oreo thing..
How could they take recipes that could have opened franchises across the globe and landed in this..?? I can't believe they canned those beautiful, delicious, glorious works of art they ahd before for twist donuts.
RIP Gabi. You were beautiful...
Again, I repeat, it's just another donut shop now. -_- Sorrow...
Previously, 10/2002- A very, very smaller version of Gabi's, but with donuts! Unlike the main Gabi, there are no plates of sandwiches and soups. There are a few breakfast sandwiches that are delicious, but do not expect your favorites from the main bakery and cafe.
The new recipes are delightful and welcome! The drinks are sparse and need improvement, however. They are unique, but not something you will really crave or want to come back for. Some you just will not like. I got the mojito. I love mojitos as long as they are made with fresh mint and citrus. I thought Gabi hasn't made a drink I have absolutely hated yet. But, no. This had fake mint which throws it to nasty for me. We got five drinks. All were waaaaay too sweet to actually drink. Even the kids refused them for too much sugar. XD At the main cafe, they ask you what level of sugar you would like. I blanked that request here. Will have to try and see if they accomodate next time.
The donuts were amazing, however. The ube was divine and is always my favorite flavor. Did not disappoint.
In short, come for desserts and if you have no sugar issues. Most pricey donuts you will ever buy, but very much worth it.
EDIT POST NEW MANAGER: Not bothering to go out of my way again. The recipes changed. They dropped half their menu. There are no cookies I can bribe my offspring with for letting me come. The new lineup is okay, but.. my local donut shop has better flavored dough. They finally brought some drinks from the main cafe, but a chunk of the variety is gone. Still no actual...
Read moreTerrible service here! No one knows what to do, no communication, no accountability, no management, and especially no caramel flan donuts! If you’re gonna be advertising different flavors of donuts, at least offer them! Stop pushing out the basic easy ones that everyone’s probably tired of settling for.
Ive been going to this location several times and love the donuts that I was able to get walking in, but it does get old hearing the words from the workers that they never have the speciality donuts they highly advertised. Been there at least 3 separate occasions to try to get the Caramel Flan donuts, and they always tell me it’s either they don’t have it or that we have to wait for an hour for them. Who has the time? Then they tell us that we have the option to “reserve” ahead the donuts by calling them ahead of time, but you have to give payment information first. Hmm…
I decided to order a dozen of the reimagined donuts for my last day at work on Friday and was told by the staff I couldn’t order ahead of time when I called two days earlier because apparently they can’t make them ahead of time cause it ruins the freshness of the donuts. Understood. So I called them the morning of to place the order for an evening pick up instead. My boyfriend placed the order at 9:30AM, called twice to confirm, came between 6-7PM to pick them up and nothing was ready! We found out afterwards that someone had THREW AWAY our order slip. My boyfriend was already charged for the donuts and a $3 card processing fee and when he requested a refund in the store, the staff members didn’t even know how to do a full refund! They even dared to say that we could just grab whatever donuts they still had to accommodate for the dozen instead. So they wanted us to grab donuts that’s been sitting out for who knows how long all dat, and wasn’t even the flavors we requested all for $80?! What a scam! What kind of a business is this? At least at Pinkbox, I can get a variety of different flavors available all the time for half the price!
Never coming here again! There was no manager to talk to. No one took accountability. If I could give zero stars, I would! You have lost me as a regular. I even supported your brand new opening store in Inspirada! This is ridiculous! Do better! Hire better employees that know how to run your business when management isn’t around at least!...
Read moreNIGHTMARE The owner changed the food at the location in Henderson, Nevada from awesome bagels and cream cheese to high refined sugary donuts— WHY?? There are many pop-up places that already have high, refined sugary donuts filled with more sugar and Milehigh frosting. Why in the heck did you think that you needed to copy them is beyond me. You had a good thing going and you ruined it by changing the menu all to see if you could bring in more business, different business. Bring it back to the way it was; it was working. It was fantastic! I had no problem paying the money for it but what you changed it to I will never return to your location ever again and I know I’m not the first person that has a complaint about what you did. Bad idea!
There is another Gabby‘s location down in Las Vegas not great parking, but the inside is immaculate. Too bad they couldn’t do that for the Henderson location even if 1/2 scale. But they have bagels and cream cheese and the workers there don’t understand why the Henderson location decided to change and have also heard negative reviews. Again, not working bring the bagels back!!!! 🙏🙏
However, this location while their bagels and cream cheese are delicious. They’re so expensive oh my gosh, you are actually pay more for enjoying your bagels and cream cheese and coffee inside the location then taking them home and enjoying them at home. I really do like the aesthetically pleasing inside, but I will never return because the cost is so exorbitantly high. I mean, what isn’t high anymore but seriously eight dollars for a bagel w/little cream cheese spread— ugh! And, don’t get me started on the breakfast sandwiches plate. They usually run about 16 bucks. I guess most people think that that’s the norm but again nice location in terms of the inside but really wanna focus on the Henderson location I really hope and pray that they bring the bagels and cream cheese back. They were doing something good right there because there’s not a lot of bagel places here in Nevada that are actually really good and this location had a gold mine with those bagels and they were busy now they’re not busy at all. I...
