As a former employee, i have some information to air out about this location. Their floors in the back are typically always either wet or flooded with barely functional drains. Most of the employees are not concerned with proper cleanliness of the dishes and utensils in that they will sometimes drop things on that floor and then just pick them back up and put them on the shelves. Pans and dishes are typically cleaned "good enough" and often just wiped off if they still have food on them before prepping the next food item. This is done usually because the management focuses more on the labor number rather than the work required so they will sometimes schedule only 2 utility workers in the back to do a 3 man job and then berate those employees if they arent working fast enough. And now, on to why I'm a former employee. I have a medical contition known as Bi-polar. That comes with a lot of "fun" issues like anxiety attacks and fluctuations in emotions. Management was informed of this at employment along with the fact that I don't have a galbladder. (Stress, diet, and just whenever god rolls the dice leads to severe heartburn, diarrhea, vomiting, ect. Not fun) so, some accommodations are required of the employer to work with me. They outright ignored this in violation of Nevada anti-discrimination laws and terminated me. So, an additional report with the BBB and Nevada commerce board is also forthcoming. I don't reccomend supporting this location or business in any way for sub par food and the grossly ineffectual management team on staff who takes advantage of their employees that come through in a revolving door. Don't support these people. The managers responsible are Taire (manager with a permanent gold grill on his teeth.) and Amy. (Short and angry) both are very disrespectful and care more about minor misconceived slights than they do about actually managing the kitchen and as a result, the employees are over worked, over stressed, and usually mostly checked out and just want, "to get things done good enough to leave" it's...
Read moreFirst I want to say thank you for the Free Veteran's Day Meal. I haven't been to a Golden Corral in over 5 years , mostly because I live on the other side of town and both locations in Vegas are on the Eastside. When I got there they had a small line forming outside which I expected , but it went very quickly. I was seated right away. This was the first time at this location , I went a couple times to the Lamb location years ago.
I have to say I think this one looks a little better from what I remember. My server was really good about checking on me to see if I needed anything like a refill and such. I did 2 plates and a dessert plate. I had the sweet tea with my meal and it was pretty good and not too sweet , just right for me. It was good to see all the Veterans eating with friends and families and they had a donation table set up also for the Disabled American Veterans .
To start the Fried Chicken and the Chicken Pot Pie were my favorites. The Pork Rib was just okay. Mashed Potatoes and Gravy , Corn , Green Beans were all good and tasted pretty fresh , of course I'm sure the Mashed Potatoes were probably instant , but they tasted good and I used the Turkey Gravy on them. Candied Yams were also good. The Roll I got was like those buttered ones at Texas Roadhouse , really good. The Bbq Pulled Pork was not very good and the Hush Puppy was not bad. I should have tried the Cornbread.
The desserts I liked the Apple Cobbler and the Cinnamon Roll Bread. They also had like a Slushy machine and I tried all 3 flavors and liked the Banana the best. They also had Cherry and Lime something which I didn't care for. Strawberry Shortcake was pretty good , but the Chocolate Cake I wasn't much into. The Carrot Cake looked really good , but I didn't try it.
All in all I would go back here if I was on this side of town. If they had one on the Westside I would go more often and I'm sure...

Requested a refund and refused to eat at the location due to discriminative customer service practices in which our receipt was checked very rudely/unprofessionally upon sitting down at the table so we then proceeded to ask why were we singled out for a receipt check when we noticed other patrons weren’t singled out the same way and we were told because some people come in there and they steal so we just politely walked over to the register and requested a refund. The manager then asked us to provide the physical card used to pay for the transaction but we told her we taped to pay on our phone digitally so we then proceeded again to just provide her with the physical card associated with the digital card on the phone we used to pay for the meals and then next she says she can’t give us a refund and accused us of not having the correct card information we used to tap/pay for the transaction, even though the card was used for the transaction within less than a 5 minute time frame and all the information was correct. She said we’re lying and accused of us of having incorrect card information. We then proceeded to another location/today in which we made the same exact duplicate transaction and all the card information was exactly identical, in which we have proof/receipts that the manager there stated was incorrect and couldn’t just give us a simple refund because according to her the information on the receipt and the physical card associated which we provided to her for the refund didn’t match the one we taped on the card to pay for the meals which is untrue, because even the device account number reveals that to be untrue on the receipt. She pretty much call us thieves, liars, etc. It wasn’t a great customer experience to say the least.
