If I can give them zero stars I would, but unfortunately, there’s no option to do that. Today Thursday August 8 around 11:30 am I wet to the Store to do my shopping I grabbed a cart and I push the card on the side that I was walking on the side of the cart. A customer had a stupid comment telling me why don’t I get the whole aisle. So I can go in the store and be inside a cart underneath the cart. It don’t matter because it doesn’t say anything outside the store. So as I was approaching the shirt aisle, she has another comment and I’m talking about other customer. I told her I was disabled and that’s how I was walking like that in the cart. So the customer tells me why don’t I get a scooter And making fun of my disability. So that he did heated Me up and I started scream at the customer that insulted me management came over and I am talking about A lady with glasses, short brownish reddish hair and tried to call me down. I felt discriminated. So I was telling the manager what had happened another customer overheard what I said and she said to the customer that insulted me To say, Grace. The manager with glasses and short brownish hair laughed at that lady. So I did not finish my shopping thanks to the insult that I got. It’s sad that I go spend over $2000 every month and I get treated like that specially a manager. So as I go to line to pay for my two shirts because I didn’t finish my shopping, the lady that insulted me Was behind me and making fun of me still. She was not told to leave the store or anything, but she continued to laugh as I was on a FaceTime with my daughter, she heard everything that the other lady that was insulting me was telling me since I walked in the store. Manager was looking at her and employees not even to tell her to go to another line as the other cashiers barely had a line, so as I was walking out, I told another person that was at the door that I apologize of what happened. So as I was walking out, I told her that she was lucky my daughter didn’t go with me to the store. It’s unbelievable that they let customers insult another customer of their disability specially, a manager that laughed at the other customer customer that said to the customer that insulting me to say grace that was rude and disrespectful I honestly felt...
Read moreI went here recently to purchase a number of supplies for my daughter's 6th birthday party. Among these were two apothecary jars which cost $20 each (quite expensive for the quality I later found out). When I arrived home, I found the lid to one of the jars had broken. I called the store the next morning, and explained the situation, and asked if I could get a replacement lid. I was put on hold, then told that if I had the jar and the receipt, I could come in and pick up a lid. This pleasantly surprised me; after reading so many negative reviews, I figured they would say tough luck! A few days after the party, I asked my assistant to take the jar and the receipt, and just ask them to return it, since it was obviously very thin, and broke so easily. I figured, if they were willing to supply the lid, what was the difference in just returning the jar. Well, when she got there, the manager flat out refused, and was extremely rude, insinuating that she was lying about someone saying they would replace the lid. She was told, if you can't tell me the name of who you spoke with, and the time and day, I can't help. She asked about the lid, and she said NO, that they don't have extra lids.
Very disappointed with the experience to say the least - telling customers one thing, then changing it later, poor all around customer service; not interested in helping the customer at all (at least this manager). I know they are sometimes overpriced, but they have some cute stuff, and I fully intended to return after the pleasant experience on the phone, but after this, neither myself, nor my family and friends will return as everyone I know has gotten an earfull. If they had said no on the phone, I probably would have been neutral; not overly happy with it, but not super negative. However, for them to say they would be able to help, then have me waste time and money having someone go there, only to turn them away and imply they were lying, treating them very aggressively and rudely, that is not acceptable. I will take my business elsewhere, with better prices, and more importantly,...
Read moreToday my brother and I experienced one of the most uncomfortable and humiliating moments in your store. While simply shopping, we were approached by a tall woman—around 5’10”, hair tied in a bun, wearing a blue and white striped shirt with jeans. She appeared to be of Hawaiian descent and had a mole on her left cheek. Based on her demeanor, she may have been a manager.
Without any real reason, she accused us of stealing. She asked to check our belongings—even though I had every item I was purchasing clearly in my hand, and my younger brother was only holding trash I had asked him to carry. We gave her the trash immediately, and she didn’t even bother to look through it. Instead, she turned and walked away without a word. No greeting, no apology, no professionalism. Just pure assumption.
As two young Black customers, we felt racially profiled from the very moment she approached us. What hurt most was the silence from the rest of the employees—no one stepped in, no one acknowledged us as we walked in or out, and we were left feeling isolated and criminalized for simply existing in your store.
I want to make it clear: I don’t usually jump to put “racism” into situations. I know mistakes happen, and sometimes people misread things. But this experience stood out because it was obvious. There was no justification, no evidence, no reason to target us other than the color of our skin. That is not a mistake—that is discrimination.
This type of treatment is unacceptable. No one should ever have to shop with the fear of being watched, accused, or treated like a criminal because of their race. I will not be returning to this store, and I hope management takes accountability to ensure no one else has to endure what my brother and I went through.
Because at the end of the day, respect and fairness should be the standard—no matter someone’s age, race,...
