Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Henderson

I really do hate to put 3 stars because this is and has been my favorite restaurant. we went to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday on 03/16 and as soon as we got sat down our server kept taking a bit to get our drinks started, she didn't provide no utensils and we were basically ready to order but then she mentioned that we had to hold on because she had another two tables that came in at the same time as us. We understood but then took 15 mins to bring drinks, then asked for appetizers/sides and those took at good 20mins, once arrived they had only brought 3 out of 5 plates of sides. then we waited a good 35 or more minutes for our food to arrive, what really triggered me is that she didnt come by to reassure us of the situation/hold up, i had to keep up with her to see what was going on, during this another server kindly asked us if we were okay and if we needed anything during the time, he was actually helping another family that had arrived after us, and ended up leaving way before us. When our food arrived she quickly gave the wrong plate to my friend, he then said this isnt mine and server responded "yes it is, you got this!" and returned the plate to him, then my mother quickly grabbed it and said no this ones mine. That really triggered me specially because we were nice and patient with her, i ordered steak and it was chewy at that point i didn't even enjoy it. I also had asked the server after ordering our food to please ask the team and herself to sing happy bday to my sister, she agreed and funny part is that we weren't going to get that for her until i had asked the other server to get the manager for me, mind you we had arrived at 8:30 and didnt leave until 10:38pm. It was so overwhelming and exhausting to keep asking her for things and updates... we felt so unheard and left on the side... It was 10:00pm and The manager "Henry" came by, spoke to him respectfully and gave us a 10% discount.... just apologized and went his way. He asked if we were celebration and i said its my sisters bday and that i had asked to celebrate her, he then said to hold on, not until 10:30 we decided to give up and leave, then he came by rushing saying wait dont go, team sang happy birthday and we just left the ice cream and left disappointed, our server didn't even apologized nor thanked us, in fact only the other gentlemen that was assisting the other table. Its so sad and the restaurant went from packed to so lonely it was shocking to see everyone leave but us. we didnt even get to enjoy my meal nor my sisters birthday... ): I hate to say that i dont even feel happy to come back to...

Prob my last time ever going here, and the sad thing is we love the food! The service is bottom level bad from reception to bus boy, nobody cares at all. Somehow they have taken the idea of "parties with everyone in the building get priority" to a new level. No we were not all there because OMG there is no parking! (Look at the pics!) We went inside to get a table and get some waters ordered cause it was like 104 outside and we were all super thirsty. AND we knew one of us was going to walk across this massive parking lot in the heat cause there was no parking. BUT the staff couldn't have cared less. There was nobody waiting. Nobody! Nobody in line, nobody in the waiting room... nobody. But we had to sit and wait. When he finally got there and we walked to our table - there were all kinds of tables empty! Hell there was more staff standing around than people sitting at tables! Why did we had to sit and wait for our son to walk clear across this massive parking lot in the heat! WTH is that? He was dripping by the time he showed up just wanting a glass of water!

They dropped us off at a table with bread but no plates or silverware or waitress for water. It took 10-15 min for someone to finally come around and ask about drinks. WTH? Nobody could have notified our server we had been seated? Hell you could see us across the entire restaurant. Look how many empty tables there were?

Our food came and we still didn't have plates or silverware. Nobody lifted a finger to help with anything. (I'm still stunned.) All the staff just just huddled around the reception desk talking and never checked on us. Then we sat there finished with no drink refills and they didn't clear the table! I can't make this up! They ask if we needed boxes, and still nobody took anything from the table. I have never had that happen before. Ever! You could see the bus boys standing there talking and could not care one bit. We even sat there, all that time paid the bill and still nobody cleared the table. We had to stack dishes to make room to sign the check!

As we left nobody said "thanks for coming', "how was everything", nothing. They just all sat there talking in there little huddle. The saddest thing of all was the next day we grabbed food at In-and-Out and they cleared the table for us and checked on us 3 times. Yes, we counted because of what happened the night before. WOW!...

Texas Roadhouse has been on our radar for a little over a year now and we were finally able to visit the Henderson location off of Sunset.

Arriving the parking area was very full, always a positive sign! When we walked up (around 4pm on a Friday), there was definitely a wait for a table or booth. The reception area informed us that we could get seated right away if we chose to sit at the bar so that's where we went. The 2 bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Within minutes of sitting down we were seevrd out drinks and orders taken. At that point the bread basket came out. Mind you this is our first time here and we were told how delicious the rolls were. No one raves about rolls, right?? I'm not sure what they're doing to them but I could NOT stop eating them lol. The bread was so pillowy soft and served with this delicious cinammon Whipped butter that melted right when it touched the bread. I received my salad and chili and both were very delicious. The chili stood out as it wasn't covered in grease. It was a well balanced chili with meat. The oh so delicious bloomin cactus came. We realized how perfectly cooked and coated this onion was. Most other places that offer an onion like this are nit properly seasoned or coated. When taking a bite, you don't pull out the whole onion strip away from the coating. This one is just right, the flavor of the breading has this very pleasant and lightly spicy white pepper flavor. Yummy!! The 8oz sirloin steak was cooked to perfection! Nice and medium rare. I asked for a side of horseradish for my wife and I to share (the offer Raw and creamy). And quite honestly, the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned that you really don't need a sauce because it's so darn juicy. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention how utterly heart stoppingly delicious the sweet potato is!! Yes the marshmallow crispy gooey topping is delicious but they add some sort of brown sugar or honey to the potato that makes it so, so.....DAMN!! I've never raved about a sweet potato before but DAMN! I need another one! Overall this place is an establishment we will definitely be visiting again. I forgot to mention the ambience, while dining we chuckled as the radio grew louder on volume. The song "Footloose" was playing and the whole staff broke out in dance lol. We definitely were not...
