Johnny Mac's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Henderson

Went there yesterday around 430pm with my daughter. We got in and acknowledged with smiles and quickly sat. The waite staff was on point and very warm. We got our order in: Johnny Mac special pizza, mushroom caps, pound of medium chicken wings, and ceasar salad, cannolis and tiramisu. I wanted to like all this food and I think with some tweaks it could be. The caps were good no complaints there. They were crispy on the outside and the sauce complimented them well. When we got our wings they looked slightly darker than I'd imagined. I was hoping to have nice Buffalo medium sauce around the wings but it's seemed to be at the bottom of the basket. Dipped my first wing in the ranch and expected a nice flavor but it didn't happen. The ranch dressing seemed bland and the Buffalo sauce had no kick. Worst still I figured out why the wings were darker. I bit into the meat and it seemed like the fryer oil hadn't been changed in sometime(I used to work the fryer station at a restaurant and cleaned them too). They just tasted of burned fryer oil and not much chicken. I'm sure if they had some fresh oil that would change everything. They need a punchy Buffalo sauce too. I then had the ceasar salad and was a but disappointed as well. The the Romain itself was fine but the dressing lacked any taste. It just seemed like it was a cream sauce and the cheese didn't give it any taste. It's also important to note that the croutons most often make a ceasar salad. The croutons i bit into tasted of burnt garlic and no salt again bland. Some of them in fact were a bit soggy(ive never experienced this). The pizza was next and I was hoping it wouldn't disappoint.... it did somewhat. The flavors were all there but as I picked up the pizza it's like the middle collapsed completely and most of the toppings ended up on the pan. I picked up most of the toppings and bit into it. I realized that the middle of the pizza was still uncooked. The dough wasn't cooked through and still very much raw. It had good flavor for sure but the pizza dough could've maybe cooked For another couple of minutes or thin that dough a little in the middle. I actually had some leftovers this morning fried it up a little on a pan to make the dough crispy and placed it under my broiler and It was perfect. Me and my daughter shared the tiramisu and cannolis. The tiramisu was fine but parts of the cake seem dry almost as if the cake had been in the fridge for awhile. Still it was nice. Next i bit into a cannoli and while the flavors were there i felt again that the fried casing was fried and in old fryer oil as it didn't taste right. The filling was fine. Still throughout the whole time the waite staff was great and the ambience was great. It's a great family feel. My daughter liked it and pretty much had the same complaints I had about the food. We'd definitely comeback again just need to make sure that the food just gets a couple tweakd to...

After hearing nothing but great things about this place my husband and I ordered takeout but ended up disappointed. We got the Small Henderson special 2lbs of wings (BBQ and medium) + a small pizza and cowboy bites.

I want to start off saying the BBQ wings and cowboy bites were fine, my husband gives them each a solid 4 stars. But imagine my surprise when I opened my container of medium buffalo wings and they were dry with NO sauce! My husband called to ask about it and I guess their buffalo options are presoaked for flavor before cooking and come out dry unless you request more on top? That’s wild to me because I’ve never heard of any place not automatically adding sauce on top of buffalo wings after cooking them, and this important detail was not mentioned in the menu or during the ordering process. And the flavor of these dry, sauceless wings? Non existent. As for the pizza, we’re sad to say it was trash. I’m jealous of the other reviewers who said this place has the best pizza in town because what we got was a 0 star product. It was overcooked, the half that doesn’t look as bad had extra cheese but the normal cheese half was practically burnt. It tasted like it came from a hospital cafeteria. We each only ate a slice but the rest of it is going to be thrown away.

Food - 2 (BBQ wings and cowboy bites - 4/5, medium buffalo wings - 2/5, pizza - 0/5)

Service - 4 because I feel like the whole thing about needing to request sauce on top of my wings should have been explained when we were ordering. Other than that the girl was nice and our food came out in a timely manner considering how busy it was.

True rating 2.5 but I rounded up to 3.

Is your stomach giving you the ol 1, 2? Are the kids dying of starvation? Or do you just want to enjoy some time away from the outside world with some of the best people you'll ever meet while eating some of the best food on the planet. Welcome to Johnny mac's. This place is about as close as you'll come to getting a pot of gold only difference is you won't pay a pot of gold for the giant sized deals this place has for long sized portions.

When I walked in this morning I was greeted by Mr. Mac himself. The man is a saint and someone I immediately knew was amazing. Then I was introduced to several more of his beautiful family. What really grabbed me was Mr. Mac's desire to get to know you. He wants to welcome you. It's been a long time this man has been treated like that. I was treated like a king by the owner /³f this business. Now enough of the nonsense..... The menu here is jam packed with mouth watering delights. Today I chose the pizza deal. Large pizza and 5lbs of wings flavored how you want. Let's start with the pizza. Beautiful with perfect crust and the taste.... awesome. Now the wings... I thought these things were turkey legs. They're freaking huge and I have 5lbs of them. Lemme say this, as one very familiar with the consumption of bird products, these are one of the top 3 wings I've ever eaten flavorwise in my life. I really don't know why you're still here but get your backside to Johnny mac's immediately. Not only will you get a boatload of delicious food at a great price, but you'll have leftovers for days. Of course you'll want to go back so soon because they treat you like royalty in there. You are family to them. I know I felt like I was with family. So long Beautiful people.... ...
