I met my friend for lunch here on 02/06/2024. We had a short wait upon arrival around late AM/early afternoon. This gave us some time to browse the cheesecakes in their display. We had a coupon for a free slice when you spend $30 or more so I was picking out what flavor I was going to be taking home with me. Lots of flavors to choose from that all looked amazing.
Our server was Nicole U. We didn't have to wait too long for her to come over & take a drink order. We got a really small table that was up against the wall. Thank God they didn't seat anyone next to us because the space between our table & the one next to it was tiny. Not the most comfortable seating arrangements & no privacy if you want to have a private conversation with your guest. We were so busy talking it took us awhile to look @ the menu then figure out what we wanted to eat as there are a ton of options. Nicole was patient with us when she came back to the table a few times to see if we were ready to order.
I got the street corn which looked like an octopus...lol Now this was a weird dish. They cut the corn off the cob in a way that the pieces of corn are still together but they cut deep into the husk that the pieces aren't completely edible. It was too hard to cut so I had to use my hands to carefully eat the corn. It was tasty but I wouldn't order this again as its messy to eat and weird.
I decided to try the petite filet even though I questioned "how good is the steak going to be when Cheesecake factory isn't a steak house?" Well I should have listened to myself because it wasn't a good filet. It was cooked to the temperature I asked for, med. rare but you know when you cut into your filet & the knife just melts smoothly thru the meat?, well that didn't happen with mine so I knew right away this wasn't a good piece of meat. I barely ate any of it, it didn't taste good & was too chewy for me. Nicole didn't acknowledge that I barely touched it. I did take it home not for me because I wasn't going to eat it but for my friend, he pretty much eats anything....lol
I was craving pasta to so I asked if I could get a side of fettuccine with Alfredo and Nicole had told me "I think so." What was weird is that someone else brought our food out and just gave me a dish of Alfredo sauce.....I thought maybe my fettuccine was coming out after but it didn't so I told Nicole when she came back to check on us. It seems the cooks got the order wrong. She did apologize for the error.
I had asked for my street corn as an appetizer & my friend asked for a salad as her appetizer & they weren't brought out at the same time...awkward. We did enjoy the sour dough bread, it was sooo yummy & tasted better then the brown one in the basket.
It took awhile for us to get our checks separated & brought out to us. Nicole also seemed to be sick as she had a runny nose with clear drainage & kept sniffling while @ our table. This concerned us that she may be sick & could possibly get us sick. Luckily neither of us did. I do carry hand sanitizer with me & used it more then I normally do that day.
I took the celebration cheesecake home which was good about 1/2 way thru it. It was very different then your normal cheesecake, seemed that it had cake in it to. They have made their cheesecake portions a lot smaller then what they were in the past. Bummer since they cost $10.50 a slice.
I gave my review 3 stars due to the poor quality in the taste of my steak & the Alfredo sauce wasn't good. Barely had no taste to it, couldn't even taste garlic which is usually in Alfredo sauce. Service started out good but then got kinda slow. Seating wasn't comfortable & the food is over priced.
I will give management 5 stars after responding to my survey that I filled out & mentioned my issues I had. I got two separate emails one saying how sorry they were that I wasn't satisfied with my visit and the other one was a GC for me to use on my next...
Read moreIt has been years since I've eaten at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant and that first and last visit wasn’t very impressive. So when a friend suggested we go to this one near the Green Valley Mall I was hesitant. My opinion changed the minute we entered with its beautiful interior design. This wasn’t the ‘cafeteria’ atmosphere I was expecting. There was a nice decor warmth to the variety of seating options. We chose a booth near the road window. Immediately a handsome gentleman by the name of ROBERT, the only male there by this name, approached us with unbelievable enthusiasm and attentiveness. He saw that sunlight was obstructing our ability to view our menus and without a complaint from us went right to work to lower the shades. This was the start of an amazing waiter experience!! He brought water to start and again without asking, provided us with a separate plate of lemons for it. WHOAAA! This guy was already making his way to the A-list. We chose the early bird platter of a soup, sandwich and salad all inclusive for about $16. Each item was absolutely delicious and generously proportioned. ROBERT was more than helpful in making suggestions and asking us often but not annoyingly so, if there was anything he could do or give us. On his own, he brought extra napkins, extra soup spoons, removed dirty plates, refilled water, etc with such a humble and aim to please goal that these normal waiter responsibilities turned into a top high end restaurant experience that set ROBERT apart from any other. The coup d’etat was at the end of the meal when he helped to advise us on a cheesecake dessert selection of which we wanted to share. He didn’t just bring the slice on a plate with another plate and fork to help us divide it, he separated the single slice himself in the kitchen onto two plates then decorated each with berries and whipped cream so beautifully that we thought we purchased two!! What a gorgeous, delicious, perfectly divided dessert that each of us could enjoy separately. We were beyond impressed with ROBERT!! Of course we tipped generously and walked away not only impressed with the food, restaurant atmosphere and overall service but with the fact that ROBERT showed us that there still exists waiters that know how to do their job exceptionally well and that kind, thoughtful and humble young people still abound. We only hope that management acknowledges this superior employee who is making a difference in their restaurant profits! Thank you ROBERT as YOU will make us regular customers to this...
Read moreAllow me to begin by saying that we have gone to this restaurant multiple times in the past and never had such awful service. This was so unacceptable that I had to write about it, and I previously wrote this Cheesecake factory a stellar review...
My husband and I took our daughter here for her sweet 16 birthday dinner, to which she specifically requested! I wrote that it was her birthday on the reservation note and I told the hostess, AND our server, expecting something to be arranged for her in celebration. A table nearby even had servers singing happy birthday I noticed. The first unpleasant surprise were the nats/ fruit flies that were in the restaurant! We had to cover the top of our drinks store avoid them landing in them, it was gross. The server noticed, and said nothing. My daughter ordered chicken with her pasta, of which the server asked her if she wanted it in the pasta... when served, no chicken was in it. We mentioned the fact, and the server said, "oh, sorry, did you still want it?" I said yes. She walks away from the table and then 10 minutes later, she drops off a plate of unsliced, burnt, and extremely dry chicken that looked like it had been sitting out for a while, and said nothing. Needless to say, we did not eat it or want it. She noticed it hadn't been touched and again, said nothing. Afterward, she said, "Do you want a dessert menu?" Seriously?! I couldn't believe it! We ordered cheesecake, 2 of them in a go bag, but my daughter's to be served at the restaurant so she could get a fun happy birthday...
The server dropped off the desserts, ALL OF THEM IN A GO BOX... I look at her, she disappeared for a second, then takes a lighter out of her pocket, lights it, and walks away... Oh my gawdddd, literally, the worst display of service I've ever seen in my life on a young lady's birthday, let alone her sweet 16. Unbelievable, I was appalled.
They charged us for the wasted chicken and birthday dessert, no problem. But it was mind blowing how the server could literally have cared less, and behaved like she was in a hurry the whole night. She barely made time for us at all, and I expected at least some cordial interaction or someone who could at least faked being polite to us. We even went to Vons afterward just to buy another little cake to sing her happy birthday...
