Extraordinarily average at premium prices.
My partner and I went to Todd's for the first time and ordered 2 appetizers, a salad, two entrees, and a dessert. They got a blackberry whiskey and a hot tea. Our total was $202.88 - about $80 more than we anticipated. Here's a breakdown of each dish:
Beef Carpaccio (9/10) - very good. Tiny portion size, but the flavor was on point and the salad that accompanied it was fantastic. Served, weirdly, with prepackaged breadstick crackers? But still great.
Goat cheese Wanton (7/10) - solid but very sweet and extremely rich filling, extremely sweet and very rich sauce. Tastes a lot like a dessert, which we weren't expecting, but good. Far overpriced for what you get, though.
Pear Salad (7/10) - For a $11 salad, it just wasn't worth it. The fig vinaigrette was good and the greens were fresh. But it was just cheese, greens, less than an ounce of pear boiled in red wine, and vinaigrette: so nothing too inspired.
Note: they ran out of Fillet Mignon, Tuna, and Salmon before 7pm
Hot Tea (0/10) - The tea was $9, I believe, for packet of $0.60 Shangri La tea, an ice cold mug, and a single serving kettle of boiling water. Two plastic packets of Kraft honey could not turn this into a success.
Ribeye Special (6/10) - the Ribeye was cut about 1/2 inch, which is quite thin for such a premium restaurant, and covered in a caper and wine sauce that really didn't leave a lot of room for beef flavor. There was 1 broccoli floret, 1 cauliflower floret, 1 green bean, 1 round of carrot, and 1 red potato smashed flat and oversalted. The portion nearly made me laugh out loud for the $37 price tag.
Lamb Rack (5/10) - The lamb was stringy and tough, not trimmed well off the rib bones, and it was absolutely the exact same dish as the Ribeye special, but with lamb instead of beef. Same sauce, same vegetables, same presentation, even less food.
Snickerdoodle bread pudding (0/10) - neither of us could eat the bread pudding. It had the consistency of a muffin, which was a huge turn off for my partner who found it dry and inedible. It also had a sickeningly sweet powdered sugar glaze and caramel glaze on top that made our stomachs churn. There was a harsh bitter flavor forward on the first bite followed by that explosive sweetness - we just couldn't eat it. When we told the waiter about it, he took it away, said nothing, and still charged us full price which was a bummer. The Crème fraîche was actually quite amazing, and it was only a dollop as a garnish, sadly.
Blackberry Whiskey (1/10) - my partner is the drinker, but they couldn't finish this whiskey, saying it tasted only of bitter blackberries and soda water, with little whiskey flavor left over to enjoy. Something akin to a blackberry soda with no sugar, despite the brown coloration.
Overall, we were quite let down by Todd's. From the explosive price tags and tiny serving sizes to the hugely positive reviews on google and open table, we were left baffled why this restaurant is so highly praised. Perhaps if you go in knowing just to get an entree and get out, your money and enjoyment will stretch further, but i'd skip everything but the entrees and expect to load up on free bread if possible.
I fear this was another restaurant laid low by Covid and the skyrocketing price...
Read moreOur neighbors are longtime regulars at Todd's Unique Dining, and they spoke very highly of it. Based on their recommendation, we expected a special dining experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short.
The food was fine, but the service and hospitality were extremely poor. Our server, Terry—who I later learned is Todd’s wife—was inattentive and dismissive. It took an hour and a half before we received our entrees, yet tables seated 30–45 minutes after us were served before we were. No explanation or update was ever given for the delay.
When we requested booth seating (the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived), we were brushed off and given a vague excuse. Later, we learned that the booths are notoriously uncomfortable (a fact mentioned in many other reviews), yet instead of addressing this known problem, the restaurant uses it as an excuse to avoid seating people there. That left us feeling disregarded from the very start.
To make matters worse, my friends had noted on the reservation that it was my birthday. At the end of the meal, Terry placed a small dessert on the table with a flat, “I guess it’s somebody’s birthday.” No smile, no warmth, no effort to make the moment special. At the very least, pretend you care about the guest’s experience.
It was also clear that “regulars” received noticeably better treatment than newcomers. After reading other reviews, I realized our experience wasn’t unique—others have said the same thing about inconsistent, defensive, and unwelcoming service.
Between the painfully slow service, lack of communication, uncomfortable seating, dismissive staff, and half-hearted birthday gesture, I won’t be returning. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere—Las Vegas has plenty of restaurants that offer both good food and genuine...

Todd's ambiance & service: Covid 19 protocols were in full effect with masks, and social distancing of tables. That didn't affect the amazing service in any way as our server was friendly and very attentive. The kitchen was lightning fast with getting all our dishes to the table quickly. The mom and pop sized restaurant has a nice clean classic sit down restaurant vibe that is definitely date friendly.
Todd's Unique Dining: I was fortunate to sample plenty of dishes this evening Beef Carpaccio - Very tasty and the truffle aioli really brought this home for me. Crab Cake - One crab cake served a little on the smaller side but definitely packed with flavor. Togarashi seared Rare Ahi Tuna, Wasabi mashed, soy garlic butter -Wow, what a creative Ahi Tuna dish. Delicious top to bottom but that wasabi mashed potatoes, brilliant. Braised Boones Short Rib- Tender, tasty and yummy The jalapeno mashed potatoes were the perfect side. Skirt Steak 'on fire' with chili cheese fries-This was my dish and I was extremely happy with tis. The skirt steak was prepped to a perfect medium as I requested and the on fire seasoning was flavorful af. Chili Cheese fries enhances my skirt steak experience. All the sides with the dishes were delish and impressive with the creativity and purpose.
Todd's is a lovely sit down night out restaurant that I can go to with amazing service and creative dishes. I'll definitely be back to try some new dishes but that's another tale. Enjoy...
