BJ HOT CHICKEN — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Visited several times in the last two weeks. Each time the place was clean and inviting. The chicken was consistently fresh and had good flavor. Have ordered the leg/ breast quarters and wings. Both were fresh, crispy and not overly greasy as you would expect. The bread they are served on isn't covered in sauce/seasoning like you might be used to at other places. For sides we've tried the fries, potato salad, collard greens and mac n cheese. The mac n chz and fries were seasoned and had good taste. The other sides were bland in my opinion but they were served fresh. Now...for heat levels. The garlic parmesean was tasty for sure and had plenty of both flavors. I originally tired the mild and was surprised that it really didn't have any heat. If you are used to heat I would start with the medium. The hot wasn't miserable and all three (mild med hot) all had good flavor. The seating is tight in the small area. They have one long table with stools for larger groups but otherwise just 4 top tables. They have a soda machine with usual coke choices. Tea is available but it is instant tea. Restrooms were clean. My only recommendation would be that they should offer an a la carte option. Everything as pictured on menu come with sides. Since none of the sides are great, I would like to be able to get just chicken only. Would gjve this place another try for sure cause the food was fresh and the people were nice n friendly. Parking is a nightmare as only a few spots are available. More than likely will have to park behind...

I'm marking down my review scores as over the months, BJ Hot Chicken has been altering the quality of their food. I'm a stickler for the 3 Tender Plate, fries, and a drink, but the tenders have gone down in size and have a less than quality texture to them now. They've also gone from ranch cups to packaged ranch, which isn't as natural tasting. If they keep this quality, I'll be headed to Slowburn more often, whom has seemed to fix some of their supply issues and has had better quality tenders as of late.

Move over Slowburn, BJ Hot Chicken is in town! Large, thick tenders. Amazing quality crinkle fries. I got Capsaicin (XHot) and the spices have great flavor while burning your mouth.

Well worth the wait for them to open and great...

B.J.’s is a very nice place to get some good hot chicken. I bought two leg quarters mild and they were fresh, hot and had a very good taste to them. I love Prince’s Chicken but they are so far away from where I live but B.J.’s is right down the street from where I live so this is perfect for me. I called in my order 2 hours ahead of time and they called me back right before time for me to pick it up to tell me that it was ready for pick up. I was really shocked that they answered the phone when I called to place my order because the other hot chicken restaurants like Helen’s won’t even answer their phone so you can even place an order!! I think I’m really going to love this place!! The employees were very friendly & the restaurant was very clean when I went inside to pick up my order!! Great...
