Midway Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hermiston

In town on business staying in a hotel. Ordered online at 3:00 pm on Mon 11/07 for pickup at 06:00 pm and paid with a CC online. I Ordered a taco salad w/ Sour cream, salsa, and I had to pay extra for guacamole. Also ordered a 4pc Chicken meal with Coleslaw & Potato Salad. I Arrived at 05:50 pm and my order wasn't ready yet. It was fine, I was early. Asked the bartender/server to make sure I had napkins & utensils in my bag since I was staying in a hotel. She said ok. Waited 45 mins before I was told they were out of guacamole. I said ok... she was about to walk off before I stopped her and asked about removing the up charge. At that point, she said she would remove it (would she have if I didn't say anything?!). Asked her to make sure I had napkins and utensils in the bag... and I got the same ok response. When I finally got my food, I looked through it and napkins... but no utensils. Had to ask again and finally got them. Finally got out of there at 06:55 pm. Set pickup time was 06:00 pm.

When I got back to the hotel... the taco salad meat was not heated, the chips thrown in there were stale & chewy, and the lettuce was more on the soggy side than the crisp side.

The 4 pc chicken meal was meh. Chicken was hot, the wing, leg, & thigh were cooked through. The chicken breast was raw around the bone (see photo). Coleslaw was runny and cabbage was soggy. Potato salad was the right texture, but I wasn't a fan of the flavor, personally.

So, all in all... not impressed. I'll make sure to avoid this place in the future. I would suggest you do the same. Food is not good, and the staff leave a lot more...

I am not sure what Midway Bar and Grill these people went to, but the one that I went to in Hermiston, Oregon, was by far the most disappointing and disrespectful bar trip I have ever taken. Karen the Manager/Bartender/Waitrees was also the most disrespectful ratchet in the tool bod with the worst make up job ever! I went in there with 3 of my friends, and we sat down at a table, and in 25minutes, not once did we ever get asked if we wanted a cocktail. The only thing Miss Karen the Ratchet said to me was that I had to remove my chocolate milk that was purchased somewhere else out of the bar. Then Theresa answered the phone when I called afternoon left. I asked her what the managers name was, she proceeded to tell me she couldnt give me her phone number or schedule. I didnt ask that. I asked her name. She was just as rude as the Ratchet. Then when I asked the Ratchet before leaving why we werent asked if we wanted drinks? She said she was too busy since she was the only one working the front of the house. I really hate that I cannot give this establishment a 0. I would not recommend this place to any one. Whoever is the owner of this establishment either needs to be more involved with the operations of their business or needs to hire some people who actually care about...

Went there the evening of 5/20, was completely ignored, severs made eye contact with us several times and never acknowledged our presence. We weren't the only ones. 2 other tables that came in at the same time as us were also ignored. There was also a smell that I couldnt quite place but it wasnt pleasant, all of the tables were disgusting and the floor was almost as nasty. We cleared a table for ourselves and waited patiently for over 20 mins. They were busy but it seemed like the only way to get service was to be friends with the staff. We felt completely unwelcome. Like it's now some type of club that we were intruding on. I used to work here years ago and it wasn't like this. I just wanted the nachos or maybe the chicken as I miss it. We left after getting no service and most of the others that arrived at the same time we did, left as well. Ended up at Nookies and got a clean table plus food and drinks within 10 mins of arriving.
