The fact that they had so many 5 star reviews was kind of shocking to me and I was curious to see how the food was. I found them through a sign on the road close to their restaurant. Let me tell you, this place was super authentic. As a Mumbaikar, I’ve been missing chicken Frankie so much and I couldn’t believe how they got the flavor down. It was a 10/10! The only difference with the bombay Frankie and this one is that the bombay one is a heat of 10 whereas I didn’t find this one necessarily spicy which is totally fine. We also got the pav bhaji and chicken junglee sandwich and they were both so very good. The pav bhaji is more like the one you’d make at home so it wasn’t as buttery or “red” if you know what I’m talking about.
Overall my only hope for this place is that they keep up the quality because that’s what happens to a lot of restaurants in NoVA, they start off really strong and eventually the quality dies down.
I wish them nothing but the absolute best, they are family run. I hope they continue to be successful! Definitely coming back and telling...
Read moreI love going here because it tastes like home-cooked authentic indian food. It’s never greasy and they can customize to your spice level. And the chai? Perfect Punjabi chai (and I’m a big chai snob). These are the same owners as Balaji’s cafe now with a new menu that has a lot of delicious street food items and have included both veg and non-veg dishes. The owners are the most sweetest people you’ll ever meet. They treat every customer with deep respect and strive to make them happy. I was by myself and ordered their grilled paneer sandwich and an aloo parantha (bread with potatoes stuffed inside). He knew I wouldn’t be able to eat everything at once and offered to package half of the sandwich and the 2nd Parantha to-go. I was also offered additional fresh chutney and raita with my meal at no additional cost. And if you have a favorite dish that’s not on the menu? Call a day in advance and he’ll make it just for you. Its not fancy or upscale, but the food and service are top-notch. Highly recommend - and guarantee...
Read moreThey have only been open for 2.5 weeks, but the place had lots of people in there already. We tried it as it was a new restaurant, and near where we love to get our daily coffee (Weird Brothers).
Very nice owner greeted us and took our orders. They are still getting things settled in the restaurant, but it is clean and a nice open atmosphere.
Parking can get tricky depending on the time of day you get there, but there is a lot available just you may have to walk a bit.
We tried the Chai Wyy kabob, the Pav Bhaji, the Pani Puri. There is definitely spiciness to the dishes, but very flavorful and good. You get a lot of food, so be prepared. Food is made to order so you may not get all your food at once, but it is brought to you hot and fresh. I also had the Mango Lassi and it was one of the best I have had in a long time. Very flavorful.
There are some kinks for them to work out, and I imagine they will just get better the longer they are open. We will definitely go again and we...
