As a small business owner myself, I truly strive to support other local small businesses for any of my ventures. Valentino's Pizza has been a staple for my friends and myself and we visit this location at least once a month for our monthly party. I enjoy the deals they got, and the XXXXL pizza they have is always the easy route to take when feeding an army. The food is good, dont get me wrong. The problem however seems to be the owner, or at least thats what I gather her to be by the way she speaks to some of her employees. Tonight I had a rather interesting experience that left me questioning if I should be visiting this place in the future. While waiting for my order to be completed, I checked my lotto and upon winning a play-again, the owner questioned rather belligerently if I had purchased the ticket there. I always get a ticket with my pizza so of course I confirmed that I had. Then came the barrage of questions: When did I get it? who sold it to me? am I sure I got it here? Seemed like quite a bit of questioning for $1. I told them if its a problem, Ill just exchange the ticket elsewhere. Muttering under her breath and throwing her hands up, the owner retreated for a moment. The kind employee of whose name I hadnt caught was getting my items ready--anchovies and green peppers on the side. Immediately the owner rushed over to her, rather loudly and rudely stating that I hadnt paid for either. Without giving me the opportunity to pull out a few bills, she took the items and threw them back in the fridge. After a bit of awkwardness, I paid, and the owner went about her way. Obviously she was having a bad evening, but as someone giving her patronage, I dont think I should have been the scapegoat. I love this place, I do. And Im hoping this review at least makes some kind of impact, or at least reminds the owner that she needs to have customers in order to...
Read moreWe were excited about trying this place out … there was a lot of cars outside and it smelled good as we arrived. Once inside we were greeted and handed menus so we placed an order of pizza wings and salad … we then realized the place was full of a softball team and their parents no other guests except us… we then went to find a table which was in the far back room … I did notice the place looked dirty but then I also saw the softball team girls literally walking on the tables while screaming and some other kids made it a game to kick the floor boards so that they would loosen up and slam against the wall, this went on the entire time we were there so over an hour … nobody said anything to them not the workers and not the parents. So the atmosphere was awful… after a good 20 minutes our salad arrived … little did I know this would be the best part of our meal, lettuce was crisp. The wings looked almost raw and tasted boiled 🤷🏻♀️ skin was soft and hard to tell if they were cooked properly so we ate one and left them all , we ordered half buffalo and the other half was supposed to be garlic Parmesan both had enough sauce just needed to be cooked more. The pizza was no better… the crust tasted burned but the pizza itself was soft and very oily I could taste the herbs it was just not cooked properly. I think that they were possibly overwhelmed with the team being there and the quality of food was overlooked. Sadly will not be...
Read morePizza was really good. Service and wings were trash. We finally tried this spot as we were looking for a dine in pizza place. We got our pizza. And once we were done eating we stood up to get our money back for the wings we ordered who the waitress said were coming right up. Obviously not. Never saw her again. We were ready to leave and get money back when guy says our wings are ready now. Since we were really craving them we said ok let’s get them since he said they’re done. See picture for the wings we got 😂 looked still raw to me. Top basket are supposed to be Buffalo and bottom are a sweet chili I believe.idk if they were running low on Buffalo sauce because we got a barely there drizzle. We just left them at the table. I wasn’t in the mood for salmonella. Unfortunately this will not be our pizza place. Not coming back. Side note: the restaurant could used a good dusting. All the ceiling fans, top of frames and top of refrigerators had thick layers of dust you know have been there years. If it’s helpful to management we went September 3rd...
