Absolutely awful service and rude staff at the Chili’s located in Westland Mall on Hialeah. Truly the worst experience that I have ever had at any Chili’s location. If I could give a review lower than one star, I would.
I went to the restaurant and waited for approximately 10 minutes without being greeted by any staff at the entrance. I’m a patient person, I absolutely don’t mind waiting if the location is crowded and packed. I’m aware that many jobs are understaffed due to the current circumstances with COVID-19. However, this Chili’s location was seemingly empty, and the staff member was not greeting anyone at the entrance.
Then a couple arrived, they naturally directly walked towards a staff member to seat them. However, seeing that I was being ignored for 10 minutes I let the staff member that was approached by the couple that I had been waiting prior to their arrival.
The staff remember rolled his eyes at me and yelled at me stating “I KNOW!” along with a face of disgust. Then he proceeded to seat the other couple and myself. He directly went to another staff member and pointed at my table, laughed and walked away.
The other staff member that he spoke to and laughed directly at my face along with him was a woman, she served the other table of the couple that arrived after me the menu first and asked them what they wanted to drink. Afterwards, she assisted another table that requested the bill and wanted to pay. Lastly. she approached me and handed me the menu and walked away. Not once was I asked if I wanted anything to drink, or if I wanted any appetizers.
She walked away, directed herself to the other couple and started taking their order. Then directly looked at me and laughed as she took their order.
I stood up and left the restaurant.
I’m a paying customer just like everyone else, I’m not begging for a handout. The service that I received from those two staff members was a disgrace and purely heinous. It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to get both of the staff members names because I surely would have reported them for their lack of ethics, shameful hospitality and prejudice.
The prejudice was obvious seeing as the couple that was immediately attended by the staff members was of the same Cuban nationality as the staff members. Whereas, with one glance at me, it is quite obvious that I am not.
When I attend a restaurant, or any venue, I expect to be treated with equality by the employees/ staff members. The clear bias was shown to me yesterday and it was a truly...
Read moreWe were given 0 service at the table by the “server” Natalie, she’s definitely the reason we will never be visiting again. Not only did she not once get us a refill for any drinks or even bring the first drinks (they were all sodas by the way so no waiting on the bar just her not doing her job). The food then took 40-45 minutes for 2 chicken tender platters and a chicken bacon quesadilla. She definitely should not be a server as I am a server and recognize she doesn’t have the skills required to work in a restaurant or with people. After I spoke to the manager she then proceed to come to the table and try to defend herself fighting with me, I asked for the manager to now come to the table as I had gone to look for him at first because she was nowhere to be found. He then came to the table after she tried arguing with me and she tried saying she was at the table working on the little kiosk in which she was doing nothing on it and the manager asked her to leave twice and she didn’t, saying she was working on that and I stated she wasn’t leaving because she wanted to hear what I was saying and she said she didn’t care, she then proceeded to start taking the tables order behind us, but yet was looking straight at me to see what I was saying. SHE WILL BE THE DEATH OF CHILIS AT THE MALL.Tables were left with 7 adult soda cups at a time with only 3 adults at the table. I had to ask the manager for a 2 soda refill because I knew she wouldn’t go to the table and I had thought my food would be out shortly (it definitely wasn’t) The manager Phil refused to tell me her name as she mumbled it in the beginning and we couldn’t quite catch it, luckily I know it’s on the receipt and he brought me the receipt. Managers on shift were Jamal Miller and Phil...
Read moreMy family and I are in town for a cruise, and we decided to come to Chili’s for dinner for my son’s 3rd birthday. We showed up at 4:30 and waited for 30 minutes for a table even though there were at least 4 empty tables large enough to accommodate us. We got seated at 5:00 but didn’t get our drink orders taken for 15-20 mins after sitting down. We got the chips and salsa that we ordered but none of the other appetizers. We emptied those trays in no time and 30 minutes later we were offered more chips and salsa because our food was taking “longer then usual”. Another half hour went by and my father asked to speak to the manager. Another 10 minutes went by and our server mysteriously showed up with half of our orders. When my father asked for the manager again our waitress let us know she told him to come by he went the other direction. My husband then asked her to summon him again she walked away, and about 5 minutes later the manager “Tony” came to our table. My father asked “Tony” what he needed from us to settle up for the drinks, chips and salsa; he told my 60 year old father not to attack him, and that we needed to leave his restaurant. When my husband tried to explain why we were upset about the time we had waisted waiting for food, “Tony” let him know that he was not the cook. When we left upon “Tony’s” request, we asked the hostess for the GM’s information we were told they did not have that information. “Tony” called my father an OLD MAN. Needless to say I ended up with the GM’s card and Victor will be hearing from us. Unless you just want to drink this is not the restaurant for you or your family. Also, they did not card my sister for her 3 Margaritas she had time to drink before we were...
