My step Daughter has worked at this place for six months. Never called in and has always went in when someone didn't show up. Last Friday she was sick and had to call in after calling and messaging 3 managers one finally replied ( No one would answer the phone). Note she is 15. Then was told she would need a doctor's note when she stated the obvious about the others that all ways calls in she was shamed and got some dirty text messages for Laura the manager that her son works there and constantly calling in. Sunday she attempted to go to work still not feeling well but she at least tried. She asked to leave and was told she couldn't until she got sick again and threw up in a trash can because she couldn't leave her station. Then the manager told her she needed to leave and before she could return she would need a doctor's note. Who goes to the doctor over a stomach bug to get a doctor's note to say they aren't sick so they can return to work. Not to mention when she asked for the GM number she was told that no employee was allowed to have that number only Managers. Then the manager Laura decided to change my daughter's schedule that she has worked since she started so that she didn't have to work with her for calling out her son about him not bringing doctor's notes the two or three days a week he calls in. It is a shame that a 15 year old that is trying to work and parents trying to teach their kids work ethics only to deal with people like...
Read moreMy stepson and I stopped here to get a treat for ourselves: a bacon egg and cheese bagel, a medium Coke, a large french vanilla iced coffee, and a medium iced turtle macchiato. We we're told they were making it and to pull forward to wait. Ten minutes later a worker comes out and gives me a bag with the bagel in it. No drinks. I asked where they were. She said, "Oh, what did you have?" I said, "A large vanilla iced coffee, a medium Coke, a medium iced turtle macchiato." Ten more minutes pass, and she comes out with the iced coffee and two large Cokes. "No," I say, "I ordered an iced turtle macchiato." "Oh, I'll have to go make it." 5 more minutes pass. I grab the extra Coke and go inside. At the counter: "I've been waiting over 20 minutes for my order." Girls at counter: "Oh, what did you order?" Sigh. "This was supposed to be an iced turtle macchiato." "Oh, ok." 5 more minutes pass. Girl brings me a HOT TURTLE MACCHIATO! "No! ICED TURTLE MACCHIATO! This is the fourth or fifth time!" At this point I'm about to lose it. 5 more minutes pass. She comes out and says, "Here." FINALLY I get my order completed. I return to my car, and my stepson takes a drink of his macchiato and says, "This tastes burned." I take a drink of my vanilla iced coffee. No sugar and no vanilla. Just coffee, milk, and ice. Almost ten bucks that I can't afford to lose down the drain. I am done...
Read moreMy wife, my 2 children, and I chose this McDonald's to go to due to the Playland, proximity to the Interstate, and my Son's desire to have a cheeseburger. When we arrived, we found the Playland apparently closed with 2 pieces of caution tape across the entrance and the exit slide. A large delivery truck was taking up most of the spots next to the building and made it hard to reach the other spots because it caused a shift in the cars going to the drive thru. My wife and I tried the new McWraps, both of which we liked. The service was prompt and the cheeseburger special order of no onions and no pickles was correct for my son. The McDonald's did not appear too busy at the time, but the floors were dirty and there was no one cleaning. But the final straw for me was after my son finished what he was going to eat of his burger, my wife noted 2 large curly hairs on his bun sticking out from where he had just ate. She approached the manager who at first seemed as if she was unsure what to do. The manager asked my wife what she would like to have done with it. My wife asked for either a refund of the Happy meal cost or a free Happy Meal certificate, and the manager refunded the cost of the meal. Despite this, we will not be returning to...
