Capra's Italian Deli — Restaurant in High Point

This used to be my go-to place for grabbing a quick sandwich on my errands back and forth from Greensboro to Thomasville. However this week, I called to place an order only to get a message that orders were not accepted over the phone and would have to be placed online. So I went online and placed my order for two sandwiches for pickup ASAP and then drove from Greensboro to High Point to pick them up. By the way, you cannot check out without leaving a tip which I think is terrible practice. After the 12 to 15 minute drive, I was told when I arrived at the restaurant that it would be an additional 30 minute wait because there were customers in front of me. I certainly hope that those customers weren't sitting there the entire 15 minutes that I drove from Greensboro to High Point but there was no way I could wait an additional 30 minutes for two sandwiches so I requested a refund. It's been well over 24 hours and they have not refunded me the $22 and change for the food that I never received and I guess I will have to file a charge back with American Express. I just had to share my experience with Capras Deli. I want to start off with the authentication in this place. There's not many authentic italian places around in this area. Icwent to pick up some deli choice cuts for my dad. They also offer curbside pick up and a fresh menu of quality foods at great prices. From what i could see most items were imported and freshly made. The owner was very nice and personable. Employees wore their masks and washed their hands. It was very clean amd neat on the inside... That's a very good plus in my book. You can call ahead orders and pick up as well if you're in a rush. They will slice and cut their meat and cheese right in front of you to your liking. Everything was packaged up and labeled perfectly. I am glad i got to experience this setting. I would 100% recommend for all... Deli needs lunches dinners and much more... What a fantastic and delicious deli! I have come here a few times before, but finally decided to write a review. In my past experiences, much like this one, I was met with a delicious sandwich. I have tried a few different items on the menu during my visits, and today I ordered the Reuben, which they prepare very well.

The only criticism I have is that they are quite busy for lunch, so I recommend placing an order online or calling it in. Although it didn't take a super long time, it did take a bit to stand in line and wait, and then order my food. It was fine, and I didn't wait too long, but if you are strapped for time, you might want to consider calling your meal in advance.

That being said, I was served quickly, and $14.50 for a sandwich, drink, and chips is pretty much the going rate these days, especially since they use high-quality Boar’s Head products. I will be back, and I suggest you pay them...
