Very disappointed with service received 3/11 around 8:30pm.
I want to satrt by saying I have visited your restaurants several times (nearly 10 times this year alone) as I have come to enjoy the atmosphere, quick service, and quality food. I was just at your Durham location as I suggested it for an outing with friends.
Today was the first opportunity for my wife to try the restaurant. We were seated immediately, but it took nearly 10mins for the waitress to greet us for drink order... which was weird as we were the ONLY customers in that section at the time. After our order was taken I also noticed a long wait on our appetizers (little over 15mins) so I started looking around for our waitress at which she was chatting with another employee near the fountain drink area while the other employee was thumbing though her phone. After a few more moments she finally ask if we needed any refills, which I replied... just waiting on my food?. At this time she returned with our Chicken appetizers, but soon as she sat them on the table, she returned within seconds with our main courses. At this time my wife and I are still in good spirits. We FINISHED our meal as the food was Excellent. My wife and I continued small talk waiting on the waitress, but again several minutes have passed (at least 10-15 minutes after we were finished). This time she is chatting with another employee while rolling silverware with her back to the dining area. We waited patiently, but I had to ask the waitress servicing the next table to get our waitress attention as we are ready to leave. She then brought the check along with 2 boxes for leftovers. As she was setting the Check down I was reaching for my wallet, but the waitress returned to having her back to the dinning room. That went on for a bit then she headed even further away towards the opposite end of the restaurant. At this time I headed to the Bar, and asked the nearest employee "can someone please take our payment"? The person who helped turned out to be the same waitress that was on her phone earlier. She then took the check to our original waitress. While our original waitress was walking towards me I told her she needs to work on getting customers out and pay more attention. She seemed as if nothing was wrong at which I also mentioned the delays in greeting us. She then stormed off so I asked for the manager.
I told the Manager briefly about the delays and lack of attention and with a blank face he say "OK. I will talk to her"... It felt very unsympathetic and nor did he offer any apologies for our experience which is why I felt compelled to write this comment.
I was very disappointed with our experience today, and although the Manager seemed like a nice guy he seemed very disconnect during our 2-3 min...
Read moreWe called ahead early for a table for 10 At 4:30 or 5. We were told nope, can’t accommodate us, we could show up and sit separately. So we did, again told no by hostess, despite plenty of empty tables all around. So we used 2 booths and one table. The same server waited on us, adequate but she put down things the table was on fire. Didn’t anticipate needs like flatware, refills, etc. just ok service, threw down apps before plates or a fork. Lasagne pizza was awful, wasn’t eaten. Dry wings were greasy.gritty and sweet as if there was sugar on them. Another member of our party got no sauce at all on wings but later the manager brought the sauce in a cup, was super rude with an attitude. “ Do you want us to take them back to the kitchen and toss it in the sauce for you?” Our whole table was shocked at her clearly nasty demeanor. Sarcastic. No offer to redo the food, just toss sauce on the wrong wings? On exit the hostess, unmasked, asked how our visit was but was then argumentative when I told her. I watched a nearby table get waited on by a server with hair below her bottom, it dragged the table as she handed food out, her hair dragged the table she was cleaning as she wiped it. Gross. The kicker was that 3 separate tables, separate checks had gratuity already added in! They couldn’t seat us together when clearly they actually could have but then charged us as one party. Rude from the top down. Sad because it was a birthday gathering. I’ve been to Kickbacks that are really good,...
Read moreI wanted to give a few comments about my experience at the new location in High Point today. First, I want to say that we were very pleased with the food and the large portions that were served. The Nacho's alone could have served a two people as a whole meal. They were delicious. However, I feel it is also important to comment on the wait staff. First of all, I noticed that they only have girls serving (at least at the lunch hour today)- and we were very concerned with the dress code they have for these women. In our opinion, they are clearly being objectified- wearing super short shorts, low V-neck t shirts, and for some odd reason- visible bra straps on almost every girl. Also, I was with my husband- and it was quite uncomfortable when our waitress continued to call him "Honey". We were both quite embarrassed for these girls, and hope they take a more modest approach with their dress code in the future, and encourage the girls not to be too familiar with the customers. I couldn't help but be reminded of this verse from God's Word: Proverbs 11:22, "Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman without discretion." Discretion and Modesty are two very valuable traits in God's eyes, and in the eyes of those who love Him. We would love to say that this would be our new favorite spot (because of the delicious food), but we sadly do not want to support such flagrant disregard for the value of the human body and the hearts of...
