We tried again, we had fried rice and an entree, unfortunately food was terrible. Downgrading...

We were skeptical to try this place given the poor reviews based on  service and food.

We rolled the dice and just had chicken fried rice and Singapore noodles for lunch today. We were reasonably satisfied with the taste and quality.

Although fried rice was bit too oily and bit salty  overall the flavor was good. Not the typical flavor less rice you get in my most places.

Singapore noodles were barely ok. A bit too dry and lack of  flavor.  I feel they are bit pricey for the quantity...

The food here is less than average on a good day, but the temper and threatening demeanor of the owner is simply intolerable. He verbally accosted me for peeking around the corner and asking for some help.. he screamed and became so belligerent that the Highland Park police had to be called to cool down the situation. He was insulting, rude, and threatening. However, the wife remained clam and collected trying to ease the situation. He yelled at her too.

There are many good restaurants in Highland Park, for your own safety and well being, choose one of them and AVOID the Jade as if it were...

My friend and I decided to stop here after a recent Ravinia concert. A bit surprised to learn they were take out only, the weather outside was nice, so what the heck? I really enjoyed their Won Ton Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. My friend was a bit less enthused with her meal. She had shrimp appetizer and was not impressed. I will definitely go back if I am in the neighborhood, or after another Ravinia show, provided I don't have my friend with me, I don't think she would enjoy it too much.
