I rarely rate restaurants. Only when I feel it either exceeds or completely underwhelms my expectations. Unfortunately my expectations were completely underwhelmed today at East Hampton Sandwich Co with my lunch order in Oak Lawn. ( I work in the Turtle Creek district as well). I ordered the Cesar salad with the advice from the cashier. I have been to East Hampton Sand. Co. times before and have never had an issue until today. I ordered a half size knowing how large their full salads can be. Quite frankly this was an extremely poor presentation of a salad. It was barely the size of a side salad for $8+. I shared the proportion and presentation with my co workers around me for second, third and fourth opinions and all agreed this was unacceptable. I was encouraged to take the salad back for a refund.
I hate that I am even writing this review because I myself also work part time in the food industry and know reviews matter as well as I hate being "that person". I write this review hoping it will reach a manager and hopefully bring attention to the proportion offered in today's salad. Maybe I got the short end of the stick coming in after the lunch rush and the kitchen was short on ingredients. I understand this happens. However make me aware instead of selling me half the size of a half for...
Read moreWe ordered from here again for 7 people. Everything again was correct nothing missing or messed up. All the ingredients looked fresh and had great flavor. Thanks for keeping up the good consistent service!
We ordered lunch from here again today. Everything was spot on today, no issues from ordering, delivery, items received and items labeled. Everything was correct and in the correct bag. Food was again warm when delivered. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, it was very good. If you decide to have lunch from here you will not be disappointed.
Ordered lunch today and had it delivered. We ordered at 11:00 and did not get the food until 12:00. We had 9 orders total, the fries were cold by the time we got them, should have ordered chips. They had the bags marked by what the order was, but 2 sandwiches were put in the wrong bags. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich. It was very good, I really liked the flavor combination they did and the sauce. Good thing I noticed the sandwich in my bag was not the Cuban before I started eating so I could switch with the person that got my sandwich. Would order again, the food was good, they need to pay attention to detail when putting the sandwich in the right bags. Also knowing it’s being delivered make the fries last, but will probably just get chips...
Read moreI was told by multiple sources on the web to check this sandwich shop out. So, after a long grind at a cafe, I drove over and bought a sandwich as a late lunch. First off, the restaurant itself is nice to sit in and is well kept and matches the vibe. I bought a Cuban w/Potato Salad for $15. The potato salad was good, they had bits of bacon in it that really sold it but it was a very small portion so I can't help but feel like they could've given a little more. The sandwich is also small, but really tasty. The Cuban had spiced pickles sliced longways (the right way), a good mustard, and pulled pork. I think this was a pretty good Cuban, but it wasn't exactly what most people would say a Cuban is, especially when it comes to the bread. The bread is supposed to be a toasted bread that's flattened like a panini. This bread is a good bread, but it's not toasted and it's fluffy - so that's a knock. But it's a good...
