First time experience and the concept was unique but the rules were a little ridiculous. The service was ok the owner and the waitress were helpful but they watched over us the entire time. But let’s get into the reality. My sister and I have 2 separate eating lifestyles she eats whatever she pleases and me on the other hand I am a vegan full vegan. Here they tell you whatever 1 person orders then the other person has to order the same.Meaning if I order hot pot my sister had to order hot pop or if I order bbq my sister had to order bbq.Which is the problem,I don’t eat meat which the waitress and owner knew so how can my sister and I have the same option.I told them I wasn’t going to eat and magically the rules changed and they allowed us to split the options. I had exactly 1 bowl not 2nds not 3rds just 1 bowl of Japanese Miso with noodles,2 slithers of corn, (a slice of onion and a couple sliced peppers for flavor) 2 pieces of broccoli and a sprite for $40+!!! Meanwhile My sister had over 5 different meats and seafood options she had chicken, short ribs, scallops, shrimp, pork belly, beef bulgogi, etc and hers was the same price as mine.Ethically and morally that’s just wrong and a rip off. Granted the Miso wasn’t bad it tasted ok but was it over $40 good, absolutely not. They have got to do better with the pricing system it’s borderline scamming. And I get it business is slow and running a small business can be hard trying to generate income but scamming really isnt a good way,if anything they just lost a customer. Hopefully they will find a better way to charge customers accordingly but until then I won’t be going back.… As you can see in the picture attached it’s no way that’s $40+ for 1 bowl of...
Read moreMy husband and I were super excited about trying this new Korean Restaurant since it was way closer to our house and we LOVE korean food. I couldnt wait, we texted all day about it and after us working all day we were hungry and ready for this place.......unfortunately our experience was bad.
The place looked nice and the staff was friendly but our drinks took 15mins to get to our table and we had to stop and ask someone about it. We ordered a bubble tea which was mostly ice and cheap tapioca. My husband had a coke because they said they could not sell their soju yet because of not having a liquor license. We ordered our meat choices and then after some time our server came and told us they didnt have the meat we wanted and she basically picked for us and we just agreed with it because at this point I was annoyed. The sides were unlabled and cold. The rice was the only thing warm and the kimchi was unfavorable.
Once we got our meat ,we cooked it and I had to spit out 3 times into my napkin because it was all mostly fat and I felt like I was chewing gum. The meat was flavorless and bland and we ended not ordering more which is unusual for us. Our total bill was over $100. We left hungry and ended up buying fast food and eating at home.
I usually dont write negative reviews but because of the high cost of this place I expected more.We wanted to love this place becuase we usually drive to savannah for korean food and it would save us a long drive but unfortunately we will not be...
Read moreReally sucks because the service was outstanding, but the food just wasn’t good. I’m not sure if we went on a bad night, but this is the first time in my life that I’ve ever been tempted to walk out of a restaurant. My table all got the KBBQ and the meat was horrible. It was soggy and slimy, even when properly cooked, and lacked flavor. I had to force myself to eat it, and nearly threw up, because I didn’t want to have to pay the 14.99/lb extra charge for food waste. I ended up having to just eat the gyoza and white rice, and the only thing that was good was the ice cream, which is store bought. Korean bbq is expensive enough as it is, but this place is crazy. My ticket came out to $50 for one person. They charge you $5 extra to pay with a card, and gratuity for parties of 7 or more. So I ended up paying $50 for food that was almost inedible. In California, authentic KBBQ would cost you maybe $30. As far as the atmosphere, the restaurant is very small. The women’s bathroom doesn’t even have a working faucet. I typically don’t leave reviews because I don’t like to mess with people’s livelihood, but this place was just so bad. My group was very disappointed with the experience and we will not...
