Omg!!!! Let me first start by saying that I am giving this place one star because of the hostess. The food was awesome. When we first arrived at this location we were told that we had to wait 1:45 minutes. We were trying to get back on the road, so we agreed to stay. After waiting for about 45 minutes, I went to the hostess and ask why were we waiting so long when over half of the tables were not being occupied. I was told because they were under staff and the kitchen help had stated that if they put to much work on them that they would walk out!!! 🤔. Will waiting we were able to observe the hostess, who thought she was Ms. First Watch order everyone around (Customers, employees, etc..). She was bouncing everywhere. She had on these black gloves to protect herself I guess, but no one else because she bent down with her a$# in front of a guess and tied her shoes and then pick up menus and called the next guest to walk them to their table. Then she came back and was touching her head, then wiped her nose still with these same gloves on. She then proceeded to go outside touching everything and then touching coffee mugs on tables and back to the menus again. Our waitress took forever to come over and when she did we ask for coffee and water. She brought us coffee and water, but minus one coffee mug. It's was 3 of us, so we told her that we needed another coffee mug. I also explained that the water glasses were dirty and could we have new ones. 15 minutes later, she came back with water glasses, but no mugs. We told her we still need the water mug. She said ok and never returned. While waiting we (the ones with coffee mugs) made our coffee, however could not drink it because the creamer was old. We saw the waitress at another table and flagged her down. We proceeded to tell her that the creamer was old and oh yea we still need that other mug. She brought new creamer back 10 minutes later and you guessed it NO MUG!!!! We gave up and walked around and grabbed a mug from a table that no one was sitting at. What a waste...
Read moreMy wife and I tried this restaurant on Sunday after church. The place was mobbed. I was told we would have a 35 to 45 minute wait. I was invited to enter my phone number and would be notified by phone when our table was ready. A text appeared on my phone inviting me to download an app called NoWait. The NoWait app informed me of our place in line while we waited. Exactly 40 minutes after I signed up I received a text informing me that our table was ready. We don't normally wait this long at a restaurant, but the wait was pleasant since we had complimentary coffee and a pleasant conversation with a couple from Moss Creek. After we were seated, a waitress promptly took our order. It took another 30 minutes before we were served our food. I ordered “The works” omelette with coffee and my wife ordered half salad and half sandwich, plus a cup of vegetable soup with sweet iced tea. The food was plentiful and delicious. Although the menu didn't mention it, my three-egg omelette was served with a medium-sized mixed green salad. Our server was friendly and attentive. The store manager came to our table to introduce himself and inquired as to our overall satisfaction. Summary: This was a new restaurant having first opened the week before. Our bill came to $29.35 plus tax. Based on the quality of our meals and the good service, this was a good value. While the wait was long, our overall experience was a positive one. I suspect after the staff has had more experience and the newness has worn off, Sunday noontime wait times will probably be shorter. We...
Read moreI visited First Watch located at Bluffton, SC this morning with a couple of friends. We were led to a table but it wasn't cleaned up yet so we had to wait for the table to be ready. After quite some time of waiting, a cleaning lady came wearing black gloves with a rag and a sanitizing spray bottle. There were 2 clean cups on the table for those who want to order coffee and my big issue came with the lady, the way she was handling those clean cups while she was cleaning the table.
Those gloves that she was wearing weren't new, which means she's been cleaning tables with those gloves on, meaning, those weren't clean. With those unclean gloves, while she was cleaning the table she moved those cups aside but the problem was that she was grabbing them by the top instead of the handle. The top is where people put their mouth on and she should have thought of that. What is more is that while she was cleaning the table she was spraying the sanitizing chemical liquid stuff around the those cups. I mean seriously.... it is BASIC COMMON SENSE and you should be careful more than ever during the pandemic.
I didn't want to make a big deal out of it so I kindly asked her if we could get new cups but she looked at me straight with a disturbed look in her eyes saying, "Those are clean." I find her attitude toward a customer extremely inappropriate. Her lack of senses on how to treat items in a place where extra caution is required and how to treat customers made my good experiences with First Watch in the past not memorable...
