Red Stripes Caribbean Cuisine & Lounge Hilton Head — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

We had a chance to visit Red Stripes a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you... This is one of THE most amazing Caribbean restaurants that I've ever visited. The place was very, very clean. The staff was very very friendly and the food was very very VERY good. 🤤

I consider myself a Caribbean food connoisseur and I've eaten at pretty much all the Caribbean places in my hometown of Charlotte, but while we were in Hilton Head, we decided to stop by and try red stripes. We also frequent Jamaica and the food here tasted exactly like some of the best 5 star restaurants in Jamaica.

We also got a chance to chat with the owner, his wife and their staff and they were really gracious and down to earth and made it a point to make us feel welcomed. This is truly a hidden gem off the beaten path in Hilton Head.

I had the ribs, collards and macaroni and cheese and it was amazing 🤩. I also ordered some cocoa bread and it was so good that we had to order it twice! These guys definitely know what they're doing!

So keep up the great excellent work "Mi Gena" and stay earth strong! We're rooting for you and will definitely be back soon to have a little...

My goodness, if you want flavor, well cook meals, nice quiet atmosphere, friendly customer service, this is the place plus more. Keisha and another young lady, I can not remember her name were the best, very polite ladies, they showed genuine hospitality. I didn’t meet the chefs in the back but I want to send compliments also. My children enjoyed their meals and wanted to go back again next day, honestly so did I. We were visiting South Carolina and would definitely go back to Red Stripes Cuisine if we went back to that side of town. We loved everything. 10 stars**. When I walked out, I noticed a A+ from food inspection. This place is quality plus outstanding, just excellence. Now, I must say the wait for our meals were a little long but it was 5 of us. So please, sit patiently and wait, it will be worth your while. Also, you can call and place your order before you get there. Please don’t go there and give these nice people...

Ok now let me tell you if you are in South Carolina…Come on over to Hilton head island because this food right here!!!!! I was staying in a hotel nearby and thought that I wanted seafood and as I was googling places close to me that delivered I saw this one was in walking distance. I went ahead and looked at the menu online. First of all everyone who eats here should be writing about how spectacular the food is because it is just that! There was nothing that I ordered that I did not like. I had Mac and cheese, rice and peas ox tails, curry chicken, pineapple soda, and I can’t remember what type of dumplings they were, but they were a little spicy and amazing! I met the owners who are awesome and the swag of the restaurant was giving total Jamaican vibes! There is a Bar inside, and a few folks were hanging out. Very good energy at the spot. I can’t...
