
I am expressing my DEEPEST CONCERN and DISAPPOINTMENT with how I have been extremely inconvenienced with CRUNCH FITNESS Personal Training Program. Not only have I been charged for services I NEVER RECEIVED, I have also been inconvenienced in regard to receiving different information from various employees within your company.
In August of 2024, an employee approached me while I was working out at the CRUNCH gym location in Hiram, Georgia. He stated that he was the PT Manager over this (Hiram, Georgia) particular gym, and that he would be very interested in training me if I was open to the offer. He also reassured me that he would assist in making sure I meet my fitness goals within a three mark timeframe (August 2024-November 2024). After much thought and consideration, I agreed to his offer, and signed the contract for him to be my new fitness trainer.
During my first fitness training session, I realized that he was not the best fit for me. He was very aggressive with his training style, and I felt very uncomfortable with how he was training me. One thing that stood out to me in regards to the trainer, was how he laughed and joked a lot with the male employees and members while training, making me feel HIGHLY UNCOMFORTABLE working out with him while surrounded by multiple men.
I requested to discontinue my training sessions with him through text ( which I still currently have), in which he (trainer) âlikedâ the text message I sent to him, however, he NEVER followed up with me to take the proper steps to switch my PT, nor did he reach back out to cancel our written agreement. I assumed that he handled everything on his end, since he was in fact, the âPT Manager.â This was also the last time that I had any form of communication with him.
MOVING FORWARDâŠ
While on a business trip in Dallas, Texas on February 20th, 2025, I received a notification from Navy Federal Credit Union, stating that a withdrawal of $572.00 was taken out of my bank account! The first thing I did was contact the Camblee-Tucker Crunch location, where I was informed that there was an outstanding balance from the training sessions with the âpersonal trainerâ in question. Not only was this transaction UNAUTHORIZED, there is no possible way there is any justification on why $572.00 was taken out of my account for services that I have not received!
Upon speaking with a NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION advisor, they informed me that they have received MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS from Crunch Fitness former customers who also went through similar experiences such as myself.
I have written a detailed email to Crunch Fitness Corporate Office, requesting that ALL UNAUTHORIZED transactions for services that I NEVER received be refunded back to me (my account) immediately on APRIL 10th, 2025, and as of this writing, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION FROM THEM.
APPARENTLY, THEY FEEL THAT IT IS OK TO STEAL MONEY FROM BUSINESS OWNERS WHO WILLINGLY PAYS TAXES TO KEEP THIS ECONOMY AFLOAT. NO COMMUNICATION IS A FORM OF COMMUNICATION; PURPOSELY NOT RECTIFYING A SITUATION SHOWS A LACK OF EMPATHY AND CONCERN FOR âPAYING MEMBERS.â
In addition, I feel that this experience is very unfortunate. I have had memberships with MOST MAJOR GYMS, yet I have NOT EVER experienced anything like this in my 25+ years of working out and training. I have exhausted all possible means to communicate my frustration, and I have given (Crunch Fitness Corporate) ample enough time to settle this dispute. As a result, I have sought legal counsel, and I am more than willing to take action against the company.
My intent of this review is to inform the public about the companyâs practices and unethical procedures, which I ENVISION shed light on who (corporate entities) should and should not be allowed to operate as a âcorporation.â

   Read moreI really love this gym, the equipment, the classes, and itâs clean. However, every time I interact with front desk Iâm either invisible or they donât have answers to basic questions. I called about the âspecial classâ which on the app says to ask the front desk. So I called and asked what it was. The answer I got was âitâs throwback Thursdayâ that doesnât tell me anything. I asked if it was more a cardio or Zumba class and the woman told me that she didnât know or have any other info. Then, I was looking at my account and didnât realize thereâs a fee for late cancellation of a class, the website says there will be a fee but doesnât disclose how much. So I called another time(different person), and was told it was up to the instructorâs discretion and it was $20 . Which I was not expecting. So I asked if thereâs a way to see if I had incurred one since on the app it says that it may not be reflected on our end. Her response âwell at least if you get charged you will know where it came fromâ and âto call in the morning to see if I can speak to the instructors to ask about feesâ. I feel that transparency is key and that a $20 fee should be stated. Iâm aware that the late cancellation is my fault and willing to comply with the terms, but not having a stated amount is not right. Then when my husband signed up, the gentleman was very nice, but asked for him to open up his banking app and hand the phone over to get his routing and account number. Thatâs not necessary, and we were able to verbally provide that to him. Seems unnecessary to do that.    Read morePLEASE BEWARE!!! I had went to cancel my membership in Dec 2023. I paid all my dues and fees when I went in signed a few things, thinking that was it, but then a month later I was still getting charged I called up there and talked to some guy and he had me give a description of who I had cancel my membership with the first time, he then proceeded to tell me that he was new and didnât cancel it correctly. He said heâll have to submit a ticket to have my account reviewed, & not to worry. Again month later my card is still being charged. Talked to Emma explained to her she said sheâll put in another ticket, she seen where I came in in December, donât worry. A Month later same thing went up there and talked to TK he said I donât have a balance and seen that there was a ticket put in, then he actually canceled my membership the correct way with a ZERO dollar balance this was in March. ITâs SEPTEMBER and they sent almost $300 TO COLLECTIONS. (IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT THIS COMPANY DIDNâT TRAIN THE NEW GUY CORRECTLY) I went up there to speak to another person he said he was the new manager and basically there is nothing he can do. Iâm not sure who runs the place but this is beyond me. Thereâs nobody else I can get in touch with. Very unprofessional they donât even have the decency to respond to the negative reviews on here just the good ones. Oop let me add that they said if I join again they can take half off. How are they able to take half off but not the whole thing. Idk scams to me. Not getting one dime.
