Walked in and dropped off 4 bags of clothes, they said itâd take 15 minutes at least. 5 minutes later they told us they couldnât take anything that we brought. It took us more than 15 to sort out the clothes we brought let alone âappraiseâ them. Sure they took one look at us and didnât go through them. Donât waste your time donating unless youâre donating simply southern or something. We donate to the other location regularly and consistently get at least 15-30$ worth of items taken on a busy day. It was empty in there. Go to the one on Ernest Barrett instead, theyâll take care of you :) UPDATE: the owner responded saying âthe items werenât freshly laundered and had a strong odor tooâ (they used the wrong âtoâ) All of the items had been washed and put into trash bags where they sat in the back of my CLEAN car for maybe a week before we pulled them inside and sorted through them more thoroughly separating pants, shirts and dresses. During which we picked out lower quality items to donate to goodwill instead. I can assure everything was clean, odor free, and good quality. Strange for an âownerâ to come online and lie about the situation. The staff said they did not take anything because of style and quality of clothing, didnât mention an odor. If there was an odor to the clothing I donate Iâm curious to know why other locations have never had problems with me. Iâll bring the same clothes to the location I normally go to, and see if thereâs an...
Read moreWas very excited to finally have a second-hand store in the area but was very disappointed when selling here. The store is essentially empty (little to no merch) so I thought bringing free people, urban outfitters, gap, etc pieces in like new condition (worn max 1 time) would be easy to sell. Unlike Platoâs closet or the cheap stake in Kennesaw, the employees decided what was âcute enoughâ to take, rather than using the platform that is typically used. I brought in 5 bags and waited for about 5 hours only for them to take 3 pieces and give me $8. The next day I went to Platoâs and the cheap stake in Kennesaw (with the same clothes) who are FILLED with clothes and they took SO many more pieces that I brought. Overall pretty disappointed but hope they get better as they evaluate the buyer market in hiram (as thereâs more young people turning to second-hand stores that value brands like free people, urban, anthropologie, Abercrombie, etc).
Might come back again in the future but not getting my hopes up too much.
If youâre looking to sell, take your clothes to the Platoâs or cheap stake in Kennesaw as the wait time was...
Read moreEditing to add: if you read all reviews, the âownerâ never takes accountability for the rudeness of staff! They âreviewedâ footage and claim the interaction was perfectly fine. However, as a customer I felt the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. Guess taking accountability and teaching your staff to be friendly isnât something you care about. I donât see this location staying in business with this leadership and staff. I will continue to visit the other locations even if they are further from my house to avoid giving any more money to this independent owner.
Iâve been to multiple locations, this location has the rudest staff. I dropped off bags and when i returned I noticed my items already on the floor to be sold without ever accepting my offer. I have sold at different locations and they already ask if I accepted my offer before taking the items. What if I would have said no to their offer? Crazy. Wonât return to...
