I wanted to give this place a try because it's one of the restaurants I haven't tried here in Hiram, and I've tried almost all of them. I tried the chicken tamales..the pupusa mixed (ground, fried pork skin beans and cheese) and the steak pupusa. Comes with a vinger style slaw and mild tomato salsa. The beef soup that came with white rice ( I chose veggie rice), diced onions, and cilantro and handmade corn tortillas. Also, the chicken taco (handmade corn tortilla)came topped with diced onions and cilantro. Came with a green sauce and spicy red sauce. The soup was decent. Needed more flavor, but the beef cuts were tender and the veggies as well. The veggie rice was ok, also lacked flavor, and was a little dry. The chicken taco was ok. The chicken had good flavor, but the handmade tortillas are VERY thick, like eating 3-4 regular tortillas at once with meat in the middle. The chicken tamales were my least favorite. Was cold all the way through. The corn masa was tender, and the masa to chicken ratio was good, but all of it lacked flavor, and the chicken was dry but could have been cause the tamales were cold. The pupusas were good. I would do the steak one again because it too lacked flavor and added it with the very thick masa, I could barely taste the meat. I did like the mixed pupusa and the slaw, though I have had better at another Salvadoran restaurant down not too far from this one. The 3 salsas were delicious. I gave this place a try, and like I said, It's not bad, just lacks flavor, and I dont like salty foods, but i do appreciate seasoned food that has good flavor. Makes me feel like they put love in it when food is seasoned properly. The service was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. I'd probably try something else, but I'm...
Read moreI’ve been going here since they opened so it’s been a while. Mind you I’m Salvadoran American myself. 1st, me and my lil sisters were getting stared AND laughed at for putting sugar on our plantains. Thats just how we like it. 2nd, last week me and my family went to eat there and any pupusas that involved frijoles tasted stale… it was an unbearable taste. None of my sisters wanted to say anything so I did because respectfully and without getting mad like maybe it was just a bad batch of frijoles. Even my mother said the same. So here comes the store owner with her 😑face to see what was going on and so my mom takes over and politely explains, and the lady is denying the taste or basically saying no to us. Like what do you mean. There were other people around us eating pupusas as well so I told my mom maybe they changed their recipe and THATS OK. But we did not like them and you WILL NOT tell us we’re lying or make us feel like we were trying to get free food. Make it make sense😭 Learn to take criticism. Your frijoles were old or over cooked, you’re lucky that it was just me that replaced it with a tamale. I know my mom’s bill was like $80 and %70 of that were pupusas my sisters couldn’t even finish due to old frijoles. It’s such a shame because, there not many Pupuserias around here and those were really good. As someone that works customer service front hand, I understand 100% that there are some rude and entitled customers but we were not them. Yall are unwelcoming everytime, keep your judging and rude attitudes to yourselves. As for the man store owner with the white hair, he’s great all the time. Has always been nice time to me with...

My wife and I came here today as we have been craving a carne asada torta, and we saw a picture on the window so we came in. We were not let down, it was delicious. If you have never had one they are incredible (I attached a picture).
If you are with someone you may wish to share one as they are very large. Also, a Coke in a glass bottle is the best thing to couple with a Carne Asada torta, but also you may wish to share as the smallest glass bottle they have is a liter size (and bottled in Mexico so it's REAL sugar).
Our son had two tacos, he asked for chicken but I guess they forgot and brought him steak, but he said they were very good. The tortillas as hand made on site.
Overall very good experience. Prices were a little high, there's a place in Marietta I get the same Carne Asada torta for $4 less, but comparable in quality and taste.
5 star for food, 3 star for prices and huge glass bottles of coke and forgetting which tacos my son wanted, so...
