How does simultaneously drowned yet bone dry general tsos chicken sound? How about dough balls with bland meat for pot stickers? If mediocre to terrible Chinese food is your jam, congratulations you found it! I don't think I've legitimately had Chinese food this terrible, Americanized or not- this is just awful. Portion sizes are great, pity that a pail full of garbage is still a pail of garbage. Order literally anywhere else and you'll be better off.

Just as a point, it's fine if you're going to do a variant or play off the pot stickers. But dough thats literally closer to being bao bun thickness is awful. Especially when you consider a pot sticker is typically something you're going to use rice paper or the like to make. Then oh joy the meat inside tastes like the chef was terrified someone might have a pallete and taste anything but that dough. For the love of God salt and pepper aren't evil, it's OK to use them. No really.

The general tsos was potentially the most offensive because it was bordering OK. I treat that as your acid test since it's a pretty common staple. What I got was overcooked, bland, and dry chicken- coated in a very watery mockery of general tsos sauce. Cmon yall, a sprinkle of corn starch, a bit of cooking sherry, and more peppers. Such great food!!! Great food, prices and portions!!! Love, love, love this place!!!! Truly authentic Chinese food. It's been run by Peter(who is the nicest man on the planet and remembers everyone) and his family since opening over a century ago. I've been eating from this place for over 20 years now(I'm now 36) and I won't eat anywhere else. I have driven a half hour to pick some up(solely for myself too lol) They have dine in, carryout, and delivery and they deliver pretty far too! They will deliver pretty far into Portage which no other place in Hobart does, which makes me and my belly happy 😊 I have never ever been disappointed in anything I've ever ordered. I don't understand how this place gets even mediocre reviews, let alone good ones. I ordered take out, sesame chicken and chicken lo mein. They gave me a 20 minute estimate... already long for a simple order. I show up after 25 minutes and the lady at the counter tells me the lo mein is thin noodles in white sauce, not the thick noodles in brown sauce that 95% of places serve. "That's okay right?" No mention of that on the phone when I ordered. Being that I didn't want to delay any further because I was already running late, I said fine, I'll take it. Then she goes to "check on the food" and it still isn't ready. A man comes out who seems to be the owner or manager, and he starts making unprofessional comments/excuses.
