Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hobbs

I only gave 1 star because you have to when writing a review! I have been to this Popeye's 5-10 times since they opened and every time, the service is horrible. Today was the worse I've ever had. I took my family in and ordered, first off, they would ignore you standing there, finally got my food ordered and they said they had spicy chicken ready for my order, by the time they filled my order, chicken was gone. They filled many orders ahead of mine that were placed after mine. We had to wait for them to fix and fry it, meanwhile letting our sandwiches and sides get cold. I finally had to ask for what they had ready so our baby could eat, she was crying. The employees are a disorganized disaster with no management, they were all upset at each other and blaming one another. Another family was ordering while I was standing waiting on my food, they ordered what was in the hot window, not what they wanted only to be told they didn't have what they ordered when they finally got around to filling the order. Several customers were told it would be 30-45 minutes for any chicken to be ready after having already waited for too long. The whole restaurant was involved with the frustration with employees making excuses for the pathetic service. Customers were having to be refunded instead of waiting an hour plus on fast food. It took my family a very frustrating 1.5hrs plus to eat, most of that waiting on our food. Update November 2023: We gave them another chance after a few months of boycotting but broke down because they are so close to us! And they did great! The young cashier was very courteous, I had a wait for what I wanted, but they apologized for the wait and threw in a few desserts. All very professional and friendly. And the chicken was magnificent just like it should be and all the sides were spot on. Credit where credit is due. Thanks for stepping up! We will be back.

1st post...We love Popeye's Chicken. We were in the mood for some spicy chicken with their signature sides. We spent $42 for family dinner and got 3 sides and we picked it up around 3:30. The chicken had a funny sour twinge to me so after eating most of one piece, I stopped there. Maybe the grease needs changed? The mashed potatoes lacked their usual hot flavorfulness, the Mac and cheese was cold and stodgy, and the red beans and rice you ask? The rice was really dry and firm like when it sets out too long and the beans on the bottom were more like gummy refried beans than the usual ones that are soupy enough to dip the rice down into....needless to say, we did not find this a satisfying experience. I love Popeyes so much that if I do not get a response from management within the week, I will be calling corporate. Not just for my own issue but for the lack of response to all the other complaints. I just want us all to do better... I fear that if the complaints keep piling up that it's Popeyes name that will suffer, not just the owner and management here in Hobbs. It matters People....

The food was good, got the tenders, fries, biscuits, and mac and cheese. Their Mac and cheese was very good either as something to add onto the other foods, or by itself. The biscuits were nice, not dry or too crumbly but they were a bit salty. The fries were...okay, they tasted like they were cooked in the same stuff as their seafood options, or next to it. The tenders were great, not dry or unseasoned.

Edit: Food was much better than last time, biscuits were way better soft and less fake buttery. The wings, honey barbecue and garlic parmasean. The garlic parmasean was probably the worst wings I've eaten other than tv dinner TGI Friday ones, the honey barbecue were good but the meat amount of each wing was a little lacking. The mac and cheese was fire as always, the mashed potatoes were alright, their gravy had a green Chile situation going on and it was funky, the fries got better they have their own flavour and arnt fishy like before.
