The Home Depot — Local services in Hobbs

Aside from one female customer service manager that was helpful and easy to work with, we had the Worst experience with ordering a refrigerator for my elderly parents. First of all anytime we need help, no one is available and I have to go up front to find someone. When I finally found someone to help me, she got busy with another customer and disappeared. I had to go back up front and speak to the same person again about ordering, she walked me back to the appliance Dept and asked an employee if she wouldn't mind helping me. She seemed very new and apprehensive. To make a very long story short, she had to have help every step of the way. Then I find out the Home Depot has to order all appliances and they don't carry any in the store anymore. After over an hour of this newbie putting in my info in the computer, ,I find out it was going to be 2 weeks for delivery!! We ordered an ordinary low cost refrigerator that they should have had in stock to begin with. We were at Home Depot a total of 3 hrs for this order only!! Then my mother gets a call from a 800 number which was a Home Depot employee saying they couldn't deliver that fridge for another month because it was back ordered!!! Needless to say, we are...

Came in tonight about 9:25pm to get some carpet and some sheet rock. Had 1 awesome gentleman try to help us find carpet even though he didn't work the department.... He called on 2 awesome guys to help us and they were so polite. Very sweet and professional, and very patient with us. 10pm came around and lights were shutting off, but we still needed to get our sheet rock. My husband asked 1 of the guys if we could get our sheetrock and he was so polite and aloud us to. He and the cashier helped my husband load the 8 sheets of sheetrock on the cart and took it to the front for check out. They all were so polite at check out. And when the same 2 gentleman helped out my husband load the items into the trailer they were sweet and helpful. I wish i new their names to call and let their store manager know of my awesome experience! I actually think 1 of them was a manager... I saw Wolf written on his apron sovmayne someone knows him. Hopefully someone sees this that knows him and his co-worker that helped us today and reports this kudos. Help like these 2 guys and the 1 cashier are hard to find!! We were so pleased tonight!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! GO TO LOWES!!! This Home Depot sold us a broken used fridge and tried to pass it off as new. We just thought it needed extra time to get cold, so I called 50 hours after delivery (on a Sunday morning) to say it wasn’t working. They told me I waited too long to call and there was nothing they could do, that I would have to call the manufacturer to fix it. A repairman came out and said he saw torch marks on the fridge. He ordered replacement parts, but recommended we contact Home Depot again, for this “new” fridge was clearly not new. I arrived in person and they continued to argue with me and not correct their mistake. ALMOAT 4 weeks later, we finally received a replacement fridge.

I have a baby and a toddler who stay at home all day while I work. This experience was unacceptable. We wasted hundred of dollars in groceries rotting before we realized the problem. My spouse got sick with food poisoning from this, as well. We will NEVER be returning to ANY Home Depot again. It should not have taken that long to make things right.
