If you're in the JC - Hoboken area and craving pizza, Ovale is a must-visit. Despite its small, unassuming shop, Ovale serves hands down the best pizza in the area. The crust is simply outstanding—airy, crispy, and just perfect. It's so good that you’ll find it hard to stop at just one slice. So far we've tried the La Margherita, Funghi, Pesto Burrata, and Caprese Focaccia, and each one was exceptional. Everything is amazing—be it the sauce in the Margherita, the pesto, or the burrata. Ovale is really upping the game for takeout pizza, especially if you're into something lighter and quality-packed. Right when I popped open the box, it was clear this wasn't your average pizza. The crust? Thin, light, and just the right kind of crunchy. It's rare to find a pizza that doesn't sit heavy, but this one nailed it, flavor and all.

You could really tell they cared about what goes on their pizza. The toppings tasted super fresh, like those tomatoes and basil were just picked. And the cheese? So creamy and melt-in-your-mouth good, miles away from the usual pizza cheese.

They’ve got plenty of choices for everyone, vegans included. The vegan pizzas were legit delicious, with top-notch plant-based toppings that could easily stand up against any regular pizza.

This is indeed a pizza gem in Hoboken. Totally unpretentious place just focused on serving great pizza. Tried the pesto burrata pizza and the pistachio gelato and they were both uh-mazing!! The pesto burrata pizza is one of their specialty menu items, so it was $20 but there are other options for lesser price. The pizza base is a chewy sourdough which is vegan and gluten free and was super light and airy, it didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all.
