I'm visiting and I was suggested by a local person to give Vito's a try for their fresh mutz (mozzarella) and sandwiches. Boy am I happy about the suggestion. The staff was so nice and offered my friend and I a fresh slice of mutz and it was absolutely amazing! They are so friendly and even whipped up a sandwich for me according to my dietary restrictions. I loved it! It was huge with a bug piece of battered chicken with broccoli rabe (rapini). My friend had different kinds of salad and really enjoyed them as well. They have a few tables and chairs outside so that you can sit and eat. However there isn't any space inside. Thanks to everyone there for making it such an enjoyable experience for my friend and I. I definitely recommend this place. I will go back on my next visit for sure.

As many of us, I googled options of sandwiches in Hoboken and I got This place. As I can saw they have history and a reputation, and I had to try one of their famous hero’s. My today’s choice was the Italian Cuban sandwich. The ingredients are really good. In this case I can tell that quantity reflects quality👌🏻. The pork has good taste, not too salty and I’m combination with the mozzarella was really a party in my mouth ❤️ 10/10. The service was good, the guy that helped me with my sandwich was very nice and polite( my mistake I didn’t ask his name for refer him) But there was another guy (a tall and fatty one) that completely ignore me and that was not nice. But I let it pass because the sandwich worth it.

STAY AWAY - DO NOT COME HERE!

I purchased a $5 for $10 coupon through LivingSocial for Vitos. Right before it expired last week, I went to visit Vitos to use it but they were closed all week long for vacation. They were opening the deli back after the coupon expired (suspicious, right?). Thinking that they'd honor the coupon the following week since they closed their establishment for a full week without warning. Well that was not the case. They only would honor the $5 I paid for the coupon. This was not only disappointing since I go to Vitos all the time without a coupon but this not my fault as I couldn't use the coupon before it expired since they closed the deli!!! They should have honored my coupon - instead of throwing a fuss, I just used the stupid $5 I put in plus a little more (b/c i just wanted to get a sandwich and get out). I will never come here again and spend a penny here. I will tell all my friends, family, coworkers and anyone else that will listen in Hoboken, Jersey City, and New York City to NEVER come here. Instead I recommend going to Fiores on Adams st, M&P Biancamano on Washington, or even Tony Bolognas on First - they have better sandwiches anyway.

How dare they pull a fast one on their customers like that. They have absolutely no respect for their customers. Yes, I used a livingsocial coupon, but they also forget customers like me come to Vitos many times without one. Way to retain your customers Vitos. You should learn some retention marketing and maybe also get some lessons in customer...

So, no shade to anyone but….there’s Subway, and then there’s Vito’s. I had to stop eating at Subway sometime ago. The quality drastically reduced and it just didn’t hit the same for me. Last summer, a friend and I came across Vito’s. We were craving a good hero/cold cut and checked out some of the reviews and saw that they were good, so went inside. We ordered turkey heroes and they were EXCEPTIONAL. Now I know some may think that it isn’t hard to make or find a good turkey cold cut, but trust me, it IS, and I’ve had many bad turkey cold cuts. It’s quite disappointing. What really makes a bad turkey cold cut bad, is, well, the turkey lol. You can taste when it isn’t quality turkey, when it’s processed, etc. It just doesn’t taste the same. When tasting these turkey cold cuts from Vito’s, the bread was amazing, the turkey was amazing, it was fresh and filling! It was also good service. The staff took our sandwich orders and nailed them! I went back last week for another turkey cold cut and it was also more than exceptional. So simple, yet exceptional. Thank you for quality heroes, Vito’s. I need to go back to try some of their pastas and sauces because everything is simply made and authentic. I will absolutely be back. Also, they have a happy hour, everyone! I forget the pricing and details but it’s great! Go...

Without getting into too much detail, I had pick up 17 sandwiches for some very hungry people at Stevens Tech, and since this was the nearest of the old school Italian delis in Hoboken, I decided to come here. The place looked like a modernized version of Fiore's, with a constantly long line to match. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the full selection of items was second to none. Although the sandwiches won acclaim from everyone who got one, I'll stick to commenting on what I got. I got a special with mixed grilled veggies (eggplant, red and yellow peppers, zucchini, and portobello mushroms), homemade mozzarella, tomato/lettuce/onion, garlic spread, and I also added some homemade roast beef. The bread here was by far the best part, as it was delicious and perfect for a sandwich. The mozzarella was great (not quite as good as Fiore, better than Lisa's), as was the roast beef. The veggies could've been better however, as the grill gave them a generic smoky flavor which obscured their normal flavors. Also, they went light on the veggies, as I also saw with one order I placed for a regular veggie special. This was a great sandwich, and while its not the best I've had even in Hoboken, it is definitely worth a...
