I recently dined at Bowerman's on 8th, and while my overall experience had its highlights, there were some significant drawbacks that affected my visit. Let me start by highlighting the positive aspects, which undoubtedly added to the charm of this establishment.
First and foremost, the staff at Bowerman's on 8th were genuinely friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Their warm hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere and made us feel well taken care of.
Moreover, the food at Bowerman's on 8th, particularly the blueberry specialties, left a lasting impression. The blueberry doughnut, blueberry pie, and blueberry pancakes were absolutely delightful. Each bite was bursting with delicious blueberry flavor, and these dishes truly showcased the chef's skill and dedication to crafting mouthwatering treats.
However, despite these positives, I must address a significant concern that impacted my overall dining experience. Our food took an excessively long time to arrive, causing us considerable inconvenience. We even expressed our urgency due to a pending flight, but unfortunately, the wait persisted for over an hour. This prolonged delay left us feeling frustrated and pressed for time, ultimately overshadowing the positive aspects of our visit.
While I appreciate the friendly staff and the tasty blueberry specialties at Bowerman's on 8th, I believe it's crucial for the management to address the issue of service delays. Timeliness is an essential aspect of any dining experience, and in this regard, improvements are necessary to ensure that guests' needs are met efficiently.
In conclusion, Bowerman's on 8th provided a generally pleasant dining experience with their friendly staff and delectable blueberry offerings. However, the extensive wait time for our food, despite our expressed urgency, detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their service to provide a consistently positive experience for...
Read moreMy wife and I were staying at the Tulyp hotel a few blocks away and walked over to this restaurant for breakfast on a Sunday morning. They had seating outside and inside. It has a kind of farmhouse store vibe with various blueberry items on display for sale along with the tables where people are sitting.
When we walked in, there was a pretty big line and I thought that was the line to request a table, but it was a line to place an order. You have to order at the counter and then find a table yourself. I was a bit concerned about this because I wondered what we would do if there was no table available since every table was currently taken. We ordered a blueberry donut latte, a blueberry mimosa, Hash and Quiche and they handed us a number to place on our table. We were able to find a table right away and they brought our Latte and Mimosa to the table quickly, both of them were really good. The food was brought out about 10 minutes later. One other thing I found strange was you have to take your plates, glasses, cups and silverware to bins in the back when you are leaving your table and this along with the ordering process made it feel like a fast food restaurant and it’s really not fast food. With that said, I’d still come back here again because everything we had was really good but I wish they would make it more like a...
Read moreI had a not so great experience on my last visit here. It was a moderately busy Saturday afternoon. There was a line, but I was in no rush. I waited a little longer than usual for my food, which was expected. What I was not expecting was what I got. The portion compared to the price was shocking to me. I have worked in many restaurants in my life, so I get portion control, food cost, and P&L. This just seemed wrong to me. I paid $16 for the sandwich and $2 for fries. My sandwich was all rye bread. You can see it in the photo I took. I then asked an employee about it, and when they returned they said" my manager said that's how they all look". At this point I gave up. I ate my food, because I already paid for it. However I did not enjoy my experience. I would have loved to talk to a manager directly. As a restaurant manager, every time there was a complaint on the floor it was my top priority. For some reason this wasn't the case here, and it left me with a negative feeling about Bowermans. My complaint is only about the portion and service. I like going there and I do think the food is delicious. Fortunately I've only had a handful of complaints about food or service when dining out, usually never both. I've also never posted a review, but I was very dissatisfied with my last visit so I felt it...
