I will start this with saying I do not usually leave reviews, good or bad. Having said that this place was so bad that I could not let the comedy of horrors go unheralded. The place looked like a nice place to hang out, I would just not suggest getting anything other than the pre-bought beer from a bottle. It started when my wife and I decided to take our date night to a New Mexican restaurant. We were mistaken that this was a Mexican restaurant as it was less authentic than Taco Bell. I ordered a Margarita and got an overly spiked Limeade. I am saddened to find out by reading other reviews that there are complimentary chips and salsa, because even though I am reading that Great Value has better quality, we were not served those. We continued to order “food”. We ordered the Jalapeño Pretzel and Jalapeño Cheese and an order of Chicken Super Nachos. We got the Pretzel first. Not only was it a frozen SuperPretzel filled with Jalapeño cheese but the cheese sauce that was clearly meatless had an overpowering beefy flavor that could not be explained. The Nachos came shortly after and not a vegetable to be found on these Super Nachos. Not a shred of lettuce or a chopped tomato to be found. I proceeded to bite into the first fun filled chip that was clearly a store bought tortilla chopped into 4ths, and I was hit with a mouth of dry saw dust and melted cheese singles. We in fact took chicken off the tortillas and rubbed the jerky like substance between our fingers just to clarify that this was the chicken than became dust. I did find refried beans in there but they couldn’t make up for the over cooked travesty I was experiencing. We asked for our bill and paid…entertainment and laughs on the foods behalf was the reason for any tip. We were supposed to get our daughter food before we left but we could not subject her to this attempt at food and stopped at Taco Bell on the way home. I am sorry for leaving such a scathing review but destroy the menu put money into figuring out how to make food and learn how to make...
Read moreWent in because our neighbors said the food was good... boy were they right! We were greeted by Rose, which by the way what an amazing waitress she met us feel at home and has a great personality. She right off the bat Sarah's down got us some chips and salsa and told us about their Taco Tuesday deals, as long as their 16oz. Margaritas special. I believe we waited about 3 or 4 minutes before our food came out, which was extremely fast and hot! Our meal total, with a bottled beer and a 16 oz Margarita along with the taco Tuesday meal deal and a deep fried burrito was only $43!!! Rose was extremely amazing, and made sure everything was up to standards! Amazing place, really good authentic Mexican food, and the people there were all extremely nice and happy even more than Chick-fil-A!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Rose and Cabo Cantina for a great experience it's been a long time since we've been somewhere and had everything be...
Read moreMAY 2025 - NEW OWNERS, BETTER SERVICE AND FOOD ... if you had them with the previous owners YOU have to GO BACK! Almost everything, I will explain, was great. The food was flavorful, salsa and chip good, atmosphere was wonderful as well. The place was full, have never seen that before. Many customers were repeat customers and very friendly. Just a wonderful place to visit. Now to the fried ice cream, 😔 although I was disappointed that it was rolled in cornflakes and didn't have any cinnamon/sugar crunch from it being deep fried. It was OK to me, not a cornflakes person, but would have been better with cinnamon toast crunch lol just say'n. I will try the churros next time. However, we will go again for sure. Service was great and better than the other Mexican restaurants around here. I feel this is more authentic Mexican food than a lot of them around...
