First off, I have always loved Best Buy. We spend money weekly there. We finally decided to buy the new QLED tv because it was on sale. Ted (I think that was his name) was very helpful and knowledgeable. We decided to have it shipped to our house and paid for the setup. Once the delivery day came, we set up to have it delivered between 8-12, it was 12 and no tv. We called and they said delivery had been attempted at 930. We had put in a note that the driver had to call us when they arrived so we could let them in the building. They didnât have the right phone # even though the correct phone # was on our receipt. My husband called and the lady said it would have to be delivered the next day instead. Strike one. I came home from work at 6 and found another note on the door that they attempted delivery again at 4:30. At this point Iâm pissed. We called again and asked why they didnât call us again to let us know they stopped by again when we were told it couldnât be delivered today. Strike two. It gets even better...the next day Geek Squad arrives and starts putting together the tv. I get a text from my husband saying the wrong stand came with the tv. WHAT!? How does that happen. We call Best Buy again and they say the manufacturer messed up and weâd have to wait another week for a new tv. Ha, no. My husband went in and demanded that this get resolved today. They told us there was one available in Monroe but weâd have to pick it up. So he drove over an hour to pick up the tv and installed it himself. Hereâs the kicker, the stand was the same as the first one. But! Come to find out it was the correct stand all along, and the Geek Squad was too stupid to put it together. So after wasting two days of our lives dealing with Best Buy and theyâre piss poor excuse of employees, we finally got our...
Read moreThough every person we have worked with at Best Buy has been wonderful, the policies of Best Buy have some serious issues and those issues alone will cause them the loss of our business as of today. We purchased a very nice Samsung dishwasher, recommended by several people we know and also had great online reviews. We received our dishwasher on the 18th of June. Since having it installed, we have had a repair man out to service it three times already and he will have to come back again once we receive new parts â for the second time â to try to fix it. Each time we place a service call, it is a different issue. Best Buyâs policy to declare it a lemon states that the appliance must be serviced three times for the same issue! Three different issues donât qualify it to be a lemon! Not to mention the fact that weâve only had it for a month and a half â there shouldnât be any issues to begin with.
On top of that, though they can look up our service history at the store, which they did while on the phone with me â I physically have to go to the store to plead our case before they will even begin to consider classifying it as a lemon. I have to find the time to go to the store and explain the same thing for the 4th time before we can begin to move forward. Then, and only then, according to their policy, if determined a lemon, we can order a new one, wait for it to arrive, schedule a time for delivery and have the old one hauled away.
If no progress is made there, I will be posting more negative reviews! I have never been angry enough to write a negative review and we have been long-time, loyal customers of Best Buy, but this is...
Read moreBest Buy has always been one of my fav stores. Obviously since streaming became a thing we don't go as much but we still usually go 1-2x a year and it's still my go to for appliances, electronics, etc. Eventually, we recieved excellent service but it took 45 min before we were able to get someone to help us. There was maybe 3-4 people in blue shirts on staff for the whole store. Selection has slimmed down too and Best Buy doesn't really do sales anymore. I get all the app notifications. Predominantly they're manufacturer sales which means the product is the same price no matter where you go. Unless its 'open box' but even then it's not always a fantastic savings. We still spent $1700 on a new fridge and microwave but the whole experience has kind of lost its edge. The floor and display models were pretty breat up, crammed together and disorganized throughout the store. The store looked more like a off-brand TV liquidation tent, with a lackluster computer area, sad stereo/speaker area, appliances displayed like nyc rowhomes, and dusty tech accessories. The only thing that must still get attn was the ridiculously large cell phone display area. Where they sell cell phones for the same price as literally every other authorized cell phone dealer. Best Buy reminds me of a beauty queen who's realized she's too old for pageants anymore, not attractive enough for professional modeling, and decides just to...
