Nelson is truly changing the coffee world. I love how he is focusing on small producers working together to ensure all parties are profiting equally. He is just as passionate about the small farms where he is buying his coffee as the final consumers enjoying the product in a V60 or Chemex. I recently had the pleasure of sharing a cup with Nelson along with one of his Single Origin coffees from Copan Ruinas, Honduras. I have always been a huge fan of Guatemalan coffee with some skepticism towards the Honduran coffee. Nelson completely changed all my previous perceptions. The biggest gains can be seen on a micro level at each of these small farms he has hand selected. Each coffee farm is often a family business dedicated to growing the best possible product. One Star, would not recommend. Delivery service was bad. No communication after placing order. I emailed after not hearing from them and received a response that made no sense. Was told they shipped the package by mail but did not have the tracking number, later that day they delivered it to my front door. I ordered 4 dark roasts, all 4 were under-roasted to barely medium. 2 were so acidic that they were undrinkable, the other 2 are drinkable but not great. Really disappointed because I heard good things about them and really wanted to have a great roaster nearby. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing...

Bought some coffee from this company at Lowe’s Foods. I grind the coffee and made 6 cups of it. The coffee was very light in flavor to the point where I almost felt I was drinking water with flavor. I figured I didn’t use enough coffee so I made some today. Put more coffee and still very light. I have had lighter roasts before that had more flavor. However what I was tasting was good and I do give the company props for being local and doing what they do. I will try a stronger roast in the future...
