Very dissappointed! The carpet in the room was dirty and humid in some areas. The balcony on the oceanfront on theroom that we got was all dirty you can tell that they did not scrape the windows in a long time and you can hardly see when you were sitting down because of the salt water was all staying to the window. The beds to be such a high price hotel are very small. The service of the pool was very slow. We waited over 40 minutes to be seated at the pool for lunch on top of that we waited like 45 minutes for our food to get to us and when we were at the pool and order drinks they came like 40 minutes after. I was also very disappointed when we wanted to go to the beach spending the money that we spend at the hotel including the resort fee we were obligated to pay $149 for the chairs and the shade at the beach in order to use them. I think that with the money that the hotel makes on the resort fees and the room fees they should have not charge for hotel guests to use the chairs and the umbrellas or the shades at the beach. I think that's a rip-off. Also in the room that we got which was an Oceanfront balcony room there were some tiles lose in the bathroom. I was very disappointed that the amount of money paided for a two-night stay was not worth the high-end supposedly place that we were staying at. Also the parking situation it's way too expensive if you want to park yourself it's a $35 fee per day and if you use their ballet it's $45 per day. If you know us, you know we like to save the very best for last, and at Diplomat Beach Resort that means Prime. While it was the first meal we enjoyed (and devoured), it was the best, especially considering how skeptical we were about “just another steakhouse.” But Diplomat’s Prime isn’t your average steakhouse. Besides heavenly house baked bread with warm salted butter, the menu has lots to love. Roasted beets are some of the best in town, served with compressed watermelon, pistachio, red sorrel, Malden blue cheese, and aged sherry vinegar. Octopus with edamame hummus, black olive, French feta, and daikon radish is an amalgamation and explosion of flavors and textures. A luxury boutique steakhouse is only as good as its steak tartare, and the one here delivers by way of yuzu shallots, chili oil, and a oozing quail egg. Dry-aged cuts of meat are aged in house; our rib eye was 62 days. You can dress yours with bernaise, borderline, au poivre, or chimichurri. If you want to take your steak to the next level, there are black truffle crust, roasted bone marrow, Point Reyes blue cheese, and jumbo lump crab “Oscar” additions.
