First Watch isn't just a breakfast place, it's an experience. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, like sunlight streaming through a farmers' market. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon hangs in the air, making your mouth water before you even glance at the menu.
Speaking of the menu, it's a symphony of breakfast classics and innovative creations that tickle your taste buds and nourish your soul. I had the huevos rancheros, and let me tell you, it was a fiesta on a plate! Perfectly poached eggs nestled on a bed of spicy black beans, all adorned with fresh avocado and cilantro. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the portion was generous enough to fuel me for the whole day.
But the true star of the show at First Watch isn't just the food, it's the people. Our server, Jamie, was a ray of sunshine herself. She greeted us with a smile that could melt butter, and her attentiveness was as refreshing as a mimosa on a hot day. She knew the menu inside and out, offering recommendations with genuine enthusiasm, and her suggestions were spot-on. She had an uncanny ability to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them, refilling our coffee cups just as they neared the bottom and inquiring about our dietary restrictions with a touch of warmth that made us feel truly cared for.
Jamie's service wasn't just efficient, it was personal. She took the time to chat with us like old friends, making us feel welcome and seen. She remembered our names, our preferences, and even our little jokes from our previous visit. It's those little touches that elevate a good dining experience into an exceptional one.
So, if you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot that offers delicious food, warm ambiance, and service that shines brighter than the morning sun, head to First Watch. And if you're lucky enough to get Jamie as your server, consider your day blessed. She's not just a waitress, she's a hospitality magician, weaving smiles and satisfaction into every order.
Thank you, First Watch, for the incredible meal and the unforgettable service. And a special shout-out to Jamie, you made our...
Read moreHalf and half sums this place up. My mom had good service. Her soup tasted like medicine(the yucky kind), then the waitress switched it out for a salad. As for me- my over hard eggs were scrambled, there was no goat cheese, and there was a ton of shredded onions. The waitress said oh when it's over hard that's how it looks (I know over hard should not look like scrambled), and she told me before I ordered that there wasn't that many onions in the dish, just a little bit that goes with the potatoes. There was a bunch of onions, plus before ordering I told her I was allergic. I picked through it and when I told her about the problems and lack of goat cheese she said oh trust me it's in there. (I know what goat cheese tastes like and trust me there wasn't any) I couldn't eat it because of it having way more onions than what I was told. The lack of care by the staff and the cooking is what makes this the last time I'll ever go there. Now I gotta get a Tagamet because I feel like I'm going to throw up, then if my allergies get worse Benadryl. Thanks First Watch for making me nauseated and totally disappointed. (The toast and jelly was good that's about it)-: I usually like to leave only positive reviews but this is the 2nd trip to the Hollywood location and both times were disasters. This never occurs at the Sunrise or at the Pines location. The staff at Hollywood flat out doesn't care and the cooks don't know how to cook.
Update: needs new management, waiters don't get assigned tables, they're all going to every table. Disorganized, 1st waiter never came back and it took about 10 minutes after sitting down to get the orders taken. They don't know what table had been served or which hasn't. Pancakes were terrible, tasteless and dry, I make better eggs (they need a new cook) This is the worst location they have. Instead of making new locations, they should be fixing the ones that are bringing their...
Read moreMe and my fiancée were regulars of this place. Known by name by the hostess. We went 2 times a week and if not we ordered carryout. The last two times have been awful, we ordered at 10am for breakfast, pickup was 11am, food wasnt ready. 11:45 rolls by and no food after asking 3 people. I finally was informed at 12 that my fiancée’s order didnt go through because of their system. They did nothing for us at all didnt offer anything except “we can make it now and hurry” i walked out. We tried today, a week later. Ordered at 11am, show up at 12 for pickup time, food is still not ready. Speak to someone at 12:10 they said its coming up shortly. Spoke to the manager at 12:20 to ask about my food for the second time and she said you are next up, but has brought out 5 other to go orders since then. Food comes out at 12:35. I get home & one meal looks as pictured you can see attached. I have to drive all the way back in the rain, waited 10 more mins for the replacement waffle.
All in all i spent 2 hours waiting on breakfast. I was just given a giftcard, which is great, but last time i spent 2 & a half hours and got nothing in return. I figured hey it wouldn’t happen again and this time although a bit shorter, was even worse.
Sad to see it going downhill. Not sure if the manager is new but she lied blatantly to my face about my food coming next, had 0 customer service, and clearly did not overwatch the kitchen. I even saw the staff knock an omelette off of the counter onto another counter and the guy picked it up bare handed and threw it back in the to go box.
This review was originally going to be at least 3 stars for the food but recent service a 0, now both are 0.
We will not be going back. Lost a...
