Undercover boss should air here! Worst dining experience we’ve ever had. So bad it became comical. Our first hint should have been when we entered the restaurant and the two managers (Mark, and a female) acted as if our party of 12 was an inconvenience. They argued in front of us regarding who would seat us. As Mark walked away, the female manager talked crap about him and how he couldn’t handle seating us and that she didn’t know where to put us. We were escorted to a high top set up with 12 seats with only enough space for 10 people. We asked if they had an additional table and she said no. When the server (Daniel) came we asked if we could move our kids to a nearby table to make room so we didn’t have to put plates on our laps. He said he’d have to ask his colleague so she didn’t get upset, then he proceeded to come back and try to take our order and I had to remind him that we still needed more space. He came back and said they would clean up the table behind us. Daniel took our drink orders and it took about 20 minutes to even get drinks. We ordered an appetizer as well, which we finally got 30 minutes later after I asked Daniel about it and watched him grab it from the kitchen. We put in our dinner orders and that also seemed to take 30-45 minutes to get our meals. Several meals were messed up even after we waited so long. When we brought it up to Daniel he said the kitchen staff was mad at him and his manager was yelling at him. We asked for drink refills and he said “I can’t do all this at once” so I walked to the bar and got drink refills for our table and cleared plates. We had to ask several times for silverware and plates. I continued to clear our table and put out plates on a table behind us. We asked Daniel for sauce for our nachos and he told us we may not get it because the kitchen has to make it and they have a lot going on. I asked to speak to the manager and Daniel sighed and said “sure”. Mark, the manager came over and I explained the whole situation and the fact that members of our party still didn’t have food. By that point we had been there almost 2 hours!! I asked a food runner for more sour cream and they responded “your server will need to get that.” My daughter asked another server (Mimi) for a drink refill and she responded “you see than man over there, that’s your server, ask him not me.” Meanwhile there appeared to be restaurant management sitting at a nearby table eating and drinking beer. Another staff member had a blue Miller Coach” shirt on. Not sure what he was coaching because he was watching all this happen. Shortly after we spoke to Mark, he went to the table with all the rest of management and proceeded to eat chicken wings, and lick his fingers in the presence of all of those dining. Mark gave us a new server, even though we were almost done at that point. We got Mimi(the one who previously refused to refill our drinks). The tickets were messed up so I separated out the mistakes for her, cleared our table and I got us more refills on the drinks by going to the bar myself. After we were done, Mark wished us a great night and I told him this was by far the worst experience. I asked for the owners name and he said he didn’t know and that I could find it on the website, which I could not. I will never go to this establishment or any other Miller restaurant again. This place is...
Read moreWe are down in Miami for the Formula 1 at Miami Grand Prix Hard Rock stadium. We spent Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday drinking and eating in this establishment spending over a $150 each night. On the Sunday we gave our tickets to a friend of ours who had never been to a Grand Prix and decided we would watch the Race in Miller's ale house instead. I rang and spoke to a Manager at 12 noon to ask if they were showing the race. A manager came on the phone and said, Yes, the race would be on. I asked him if we could have sound. He said no straight away. I then said to him, I don't understand why we cannot have the sound just for the race....... It is the biggest sporting event in Miami-and you are a sports bar. He repeated to me I have already told you no and I don't understand which part of no, you don't understand!!! (extremely rude!!) If I would have been standing in front of him or he spoke to anybody else, but a gentleman that I am, he would find himself in a lot of trouble speaking to people like that. He then put the phone down!!! So after the rudeness, we went to TGI Fridays over the road. They put the sound on for us. We ate and drink all day and all night spending $300. Miller's ale house has lost out on that revenue and will lose out on a lot more revenue going forward from me. You need to give your staff some training on customer service. They put the sound on for the Kentucky derby the day before. They put the sound on when people ask for the basketball, hockey, baseball..... Was it because I am English? Was it because he's rude and ignorant I? 'll leave that one with you. Also I sent a message on your main website your link...
Read moreTo start off, we frequent the Oakwood Plaza restaurant located in Hollywood, Florida. Tonight was amazing due to our waiter making it such a fun experience. Our night ended with a great guy with a personality, a smile and great attitude. He made us laugh and was super helpful in every way. I wouldn’t change a thing about him. I had the Fajitas with steak. He was on point with helping my food come out perfect. My husband ordered a steak and Onion Rings! He enjoyed a perfect steak and baked potato. My husband has an issue with his throat so he always asks for three glasses of water, no ice, room temperature if possible. The water that usually comes to the table has a good chill but not tonight!. Can I say how great Clay our waiter came up with the idea of adding some warm water to the cold water to make it room temperature!!!! How amazing and caring was that? That to me was everything. Once our food came he was on his A-Game not only tending to our table but another three all at the same time. He made himself very present with our service and made our visit a memorable one. I can’t say enough about Clay but tonight was Clay Day!! He hit a home run with us. Our daughters and I usually do lunches and early dinners and we usually have Juan which is another amazing guy! We enjoy the pep in his step and he is another guy that tops our list with personable service and pays attention to details. We have been coming to this Miller’s Ale House for years and enjoy all the smiling faces. Keep up the great work Clay and Juan! Your service is much appreciated by all of us in the...
