TaKitos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hollywood

This place has some serious order accuracy issues, and I will not be returning. I'll admit that I do love their salsa (hence why I kept giving them another chance), but I am sick of my order never being correct. My boyfriend and I live nearby and have gotten takeout a bunch of times, & more times than not they have given us wrong items. A beef burrito instead of chicken, sour cream on my veggie burrito when I asked for it without, etc. Once I took the burrito back and asked for the beef to be switched for chicken as requested, and the server/bartender insisted it was correct-until I opened it up right in front of him as proof. That's usually the way it goes at this restaurant, and for the most part we just take it as-is bc we aren't big complainers. Tonight, I called ahead for my meal plus a pastor burrito for my boyfriend. I specifically asked for double meat, bc the last time he had it there was barely any, and the order was confirmed. Based on the total I paid and the price of my other items, that burrito must have been around $20 with the upcharge...which would have been okay if it was correct. However, it wasn't (big surprise). What we received instead were tacos-tiny ones at that, definitely not with extra meat. My boyfriend is a not a fan of soft corn tacos like that, especially with chopped onions on top...and DEFINITELY not covered in cilantro like they were. He hates cilantro and therefore they were not something he would eat. I was annoyed that he got screwed out of dinner and we had paid so much for an incorrect item that would just go in the trash (I'm a vegetarian so I couldn't eat them either). I therefore reached out to the restaurant hoping for a resolution, but did not reach one. We could not make it back in this evening, but the manager told me if I did not return that same night then I was basically out of luck. He did not argue that they had given me an incorrect item, but refused to give me a credit for it in the future or anything else. I didn't need the cash back-just to receive what I had paid for sometime in the near future. I shouldn't have to go out of my way when it was their mistake! So they basically stole my $, as I can't go back tonight and did not receive anything close to what I paid for. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy to keep ordering from them when they never get our order right, and at this point I agree with him. I won't be making that mistake again. So done...

[UPDATE] Looks like Emily is gone and the other girls I'm used to being served by are back. Good Job! I've returned several times and the service has improved. No more ridiculous gratuity percentages. Back to being an excellent happy hour spot. It's unfortunate that I must update my review and remove all the stars I added last year. For a year, I had visited this spot frequently for happy hour drinks. I've met several pleasant bartenders there who i'd tip generously. For example: If I had one happy hour drink for $5, I would leave a $5 tip. As of last week, I was forced a 20% gratuity. 2 weeks prior, I was forced a 18% gratuity. It seems that the new girls there believe they can just force gratuities especially during the happy hour. Message to owner: The purpose of a Happy Hour, is to provide a courtesy discount on drinks in hopes that one would eat your outrageously priced tacos that are $15 for 3. Now, what's the point of attending your happy hour if 3 $5 drinks and an order of tacos at $15 is gonna cost me $45 dollars⁉️ Needless to say, you lost a happy customer. I won't be going back to this establishment after being served by your new girl Emily? Who disappeared when I asked her for another drink, after asking her twice. The guy who opens the late shift had to make it for me. I tipped him $5 for it. To Tourists and Locals, it's just not...

This place seems like it would be an okay place to eat at and in general I don't usually give restaurant workers and businesses a bad name because I work for a restaurant but man this restaurant was very disrespectful and a disgrace to the restaurant business. First off our server never asked us right away for our drink orders and never once gave us refills on our water the entire time there. They also went straight into placing our order in rather than getting us our drinks to us in a timely fashion. Secondly our food came out pretty slow we didn't get our drinks until halfway through our food being cooked and we still finished our drinks before the food came out. The food was lukewarm and also some of my parties food requests were ignored. Then thirdly this is the icing on top. The server didn't ask us if we were on separate checks and wouldn't accommodate for separate checks and automatically selected 20% for the tip out for us. That is ILLEGAL CUSTOMERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELCT THE AMOUNT OF TIP THAT A EMPLOYEE GETS OR EVEN WANTS TO...
