I recently dined at Cabo Blanco (Hollywood), and I strongly advise others to be very careful if you decide to go there. My experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. The service was abysmal. The staff was inattentive, rude, and seemed completely uninterested in providing any level of customer service. We were left waiting for an extended period before anyone even took our order, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and unappetizing. The quality of the food did not justify the high prices. Portions were small, and the flavors were bland and uninspired. But what really stood out was the clear attempt to overcharge us. The bill included several items we did not order, and when I questioned this, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful. It felt like a deliberate attempt to scam customers. This experience made me realize that Cabo Blanco does not prioritize customer satisfaction or integrity. The dishonest billing practices and terrible service were unacceptable. I urge anyone considering dining here to think twice and be very cautious. There are plenty of other places where you can get better food, service, and overall experience for your money. Overall, I would not recommend Cabo Blanco to anyone. It's not worth the risk of being overcharged and treated poorly. Save yourself the trouble and find a better...
Read moreLast Friday my 7 months pregnant girlfriend and had the worst food experience. I have been at this place before and what we ordered it was delicious. Last Friday it was not the same. My girlfriend had cravings, she wanted crispy, breaded fried calamari. We got there and I told the guy outside what we wanted, he told me " sure that would be like $12 dollars, my girlfriend said ok. We went inside there was a birthday party, we went to the counter and I told the girl what we wanted. She came back like 10-12 minutes after, I gave her a $20 dollar bill, she gave me $.50 cents back(remember the guy outside told me no more than $12 dollars, and here I am with $.50 cents for change. We left and got inside the car, I opened the container and what I saw was a shocker, not fried, not breaded, it was rubber, soggy, mushy white rubber. I felt so bad for my girlfriend, she had fried calamari cravings, she got tears in her eyes, she tells me, how can they do this, we asked for fried calamari and we get these. I felt like going back and tell them what they did. I couldn't because I am a wheelchair bound and I can't walk and my girlfriend which is pregnant is the driver. You ruined a great night that we were having and not only that, you ruined my girlfriend's cravings. We will never go to this place again. You lied and gave my girlfriend the most...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went for a late lunch around 4pm to avoid a crowd. We were promptly greeted and walked over to our table. We ordered ají amarillo to share as an appetizer. Also a lomo saltado and huancaína noodles with chicken. And lastly tres leeches cake. The ají amarillo ceviche was seasoned very well, not too spicy, the right amount of citric. It was a surprisingly larger portion, it can serve as a main dish. Very please with this dish. The lomo saltado had great “saltado” smoky flavor and also seasoned well. Good balance of meat, onions, and tomato. Served with the typical white rice and french fries, also a very well executed side of black beans. The pasta with huancaína was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was creamy, and the chicken breast a la plancha was seared well and juicy. Both sauces that they bring to the table (green and yellow) are fantastic compliment to any dish. definitely try them, they aren't overpowering or excessively spicy. The tres leches cake was not too sweet. It sits about 3 inches tall, cleverly plated in a bowl, allowing you to control how moist you wanted your bite. Overall a very tasty peruvian lunch, well seasoned and executed without flaws, and a very attentive and professional server (Erica) who provided...
