I was at my daughter's house and was craving sweets. She recommended this place and of course I agreed. They have such a great selection, I could of ordered 1of each cupcakes but we decided to share a Slice of the Everything cake. She had never had it either. Well uber delivers and I couldn't wait to dig in. 😒Well I was so disappointed, on the taste and texture It did not taste as it looked. My daughter tried it and she felt bad, since she was the one who suggested it. I called and spoke with the owner and she swore that it was made yesterday. She asked for a picture , but instead I drove to her. When I got there, she had said everyone has different taste buds and said there vegan, you know that ,right? Well I did not know that, but said my daughter buys the cupcakes all the time and loves them. She said probably because they are different batters. And than said " Well, I'm not going to give you anything else. Since you didn't like that, you're not gonna like anything else" So I said I wanted to buy a cupcake so i can see the difference and she said no, so I said than can I please have one. So I ask her to give me a cookiebutter cupcake . When I got home My daughter said you brought her back a whole piece of cake and she gave you one cupcake. I told her she wasn't going to give me anything. But I wanted it and I was gonna buy it.This is about customer service not the cupcake. She(the owner) told me they have different batters So knowing that, she should have offered me a couple of cupcakes for me and my daughter. Instead , she told me she wasn't gonna give me anything instead of having me try something else. Do not order a custom cake from here. I seriously wish I wouldve read the previous reviews about her cakes falling apart and her attitude. I experienced it all. Some people just don't change. Been in touch with Maya for months trying to get the perfect birthday cake for my son. Paid her $375 via zelle (HUGE mistake) for a 3 tier cake as tall as him, 30 inches. What I got was 15 inches because the top tier (about 7 inches) slid of its base, and fell apart 3 minutes after I picked it up so I ended up with only 2 tiers and she had the nerve to tell me the top was on a floater piece to add height when she knows darn well she just gave me a 1/2 inch base. She always sounded rude on the phone, took her frustrations out on me because I'm calling while she was baking like its my fault shes answering the phone, overwhelmed. She also doesn't plan out your cake design beforehand. She spent "3" days baking my cake only to give me a basic buttercream marble look that was mostly one color on each tier. I provided the decorations that I could've added myself and even after expressing to her my disappointment, she just thanked me for the feedback. I trusted her with this memory but she clearly values money over service. Asking for a refund (even partial) is "impossible". She needs to stop with the greed and hire an assistant to help her answer the phone and a designer for her cakes. Maybe she would stress less and wont be so rude to her customers. We got married 10-22-2022! I solely picked this place based on reviews and especially since I’m not from here the reviews were everything! When I reached out they responded immediately and basically designed the cakes based on what I expressed how I wanted things to be on my wedding day! When I tell you they did not disappoint! Our cakes were beautiful! They were everything I wanted and more! All the way from the details to the actual tasting of the cakes! They were delicious and light! We did stop by the shop a week before the wedding and got some treats. They were delicious! I want to say a special thank you to Maya! She was awesome!
