Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Holmdel Township

I've never had such a bad experience in my life. I highly urge others to stay away. I used to order take out and really enjoyed it, those days are in the past, don't expect that to change.

The table was dirty and sticky. Food scraps and stickiness on the table, chips all over the seats. We had to ask them to clean it.

Apps came out, girl put them on the table and left without giving us any plates, utensils, or napkins. We had to ask for all of these.

They brought us someone elses orderer. When our order came out each dish came 1 by 1, 10 minutes apart because they messed each on up.

Our order came completely wrong. Items with no onions had onions, all add-ons were missing, they put bacon on items when it wasn't supposed to, gave us a steak when we ordered chicken, gave us sides we never ordered, and completely forgot to bring one persons order. We had 4 or 5 different people come ask us what we ordered so that they could correct it and some how not 1 of them could resolve anything.

I didn't know who our waitress was because someone different came to us each time. The lady who brought us the wrong tables order also brought us our actual orders which were messed up, she just kept throwing her hands up in the air saying "I don't know what's going on, everything's a mess"

We got the skillet cookie dessert, they can't mess that up right? They gave us a cold rock hard skillet cookie.

They charged us for items we never got and for addons they never included.

I can understand 1 or 2 mistakes, it happens and its not bothersome but this was nonstop every step of the way.

I feel so bad for all the servers because I know it's not their fault but they are the buffer between the customer and the restaurant so they have to deal with all the issues we deal with. This place needs to either fire all their management, shut down, or start hiring more staff because this was unexcusable. No one finished their meal because everything was clearly rushed to be made and it tasted disgusting, besides that the entire process to even get our food just ruined everyone's mood.

We get it, if you're super busy and understaffed issues occur and we are very forgiving people. Mistakes happen and its typically not bothersome but this was extraordinarly awful given they weren't even busy. It honestly felt like the kitchen staff was all new, the waitresses were all new, and the management staff just didn't care at all about anything.

I really like Chili’s. It’s pretty good especially for a chain restaurant. They have a fun menu from burgers, fajitas, wings, smokehouse combos, and chicken crisper combos. I had their honey chicken crisper combo the first time I came. The honey chicken crisper was very good! The meat was really tender and the sauce was tasty! The Mac and cheese it came with was delicious! The only thing I didn’t care for were their fries. They tasted pre made, and they were served to me luke warm. Today, I had their chicken and shrimp fajitas which were so good! I wish it came with more sour cream though. The peppers made it very tasty! I even dipped the fajitas in the salsa that came with my chips and dip. That made it even more delicious! The rice and beans it came with were ok. They weren’t authentic like a Mexican restaurant, but still good. For desserts I had their chocolate chip and a skillet and lava cake. I thought the chocolate chip in a skillet was much better than the lava cake. The lava cake was just ok. The cake part wasn’t moist and melty, but it was rather too stiff. We used to LOVE this location. We have such great memories of coming here when we were kids, and that’s probably kept us coming back for a while, but the service and quality on a few recent visits has sealed the deal for us on coming back. One day we went for lunch and I ordered boneless wings, as there was a new advertisement for boneless wing flavors on the menu. I specifically quoted the boneless wing ad when ordering. The food took over an hour to come out, and when it did, I received BONE-IN wings. The server took an additional 15 minutes to check in with us, and since my sister was basically done with her meal, I explained I just don’t want the wings as I did not have the time to wait for new ones. They insisted I wait, and I firmly said “no thank you. I don’t have time and my sister is done eating, so please take it off the bill so we can leave” So the server and manager NEVER CAME BACK or took the wing off the bill (so I couldn’t pay and leave) and then the manager came out with an order of wings to go, placed them on the table and walked away, disrespecting both my time, and my request to not pay for THEIR mistake.
