I'll start it off with our waitress was really trying to be good at waitress-ing. If you read no further, I would not recommend, based on service.
Party of 7, not too busy at lunch, here was the timeline: 2 minutes to get seated, I am pleased. We order food and beverages soon after we get to the table. 15 minutes until the beverages arrive, I assume she just has lots of tables.
40 minutes after ordering the food, it finally arrives. It's not particularly warm, and my order of wings is wrong. In her defense, she wrote it down correctly. I ask her how long it would take to get the correct order of wings out (I'm in a hurry at this point) and she says "I really can't put a number on it", and I say I'll just eat what she brought me. She agrees this is a good idea. My friend insists she bring the correct ones, but before she does so, she comes to show me what she wrote down, I assume to verify that I wasn't trying to get free wings. She concurs that the wrong wings were in fact brought out, and it takes around 5 minutes for the correct ones to be brought out. It is not exactly stellar service up to this point, but I am not particularly upset.
10 minutes before the wings arrived, I asked for the checks because I had a limited amount of time for lunch. 15 minutes later, she comes back with the checks. This is where the fun starts. I had showed her the 3 coupons for free snack wings I intended to use when I walked in, which I ordered for the table to share. When I receive my check, I am charged for those 3 snack wings I ordered, plus the one I ordered for myself (4 total). I explain to her that I still had the coupons I intended to use, and I would like the 3 deducted off my bill. She says she needs to talk to the manager. She comes back, and tells me that I can only use one coupon on my bill (understandable). I ask if she can put the orders of wings on 2 of the other 6 patrons' bills, then deduct it off with the coupons that they have. She responds that they all ordered wings that were not snack wings. I tell her I realize this, and the orders of snack wings that are currently on my bill would go on their bills, then be subsequently deducted. She says she understands, and the clearing of this mixup on the technicality saves the day.
I am mistaken. She takes my bill and the bill of my friend. She leaves all the orders of wings on my bill. She then adds one to my friend's bill, and was nice enough to deduct it. This has added a mystery order of snack wings to the mix that I never saw or ordered. I am out of time, and do not have the ability to explain the math of what has happened, preferably with diagrams.
I end up getting one coupon to work with this whole debacle, so this particular waitress has won the battle of wills on using 3 coupons between 7 people. I pay for the rest of the wings I was under the impression would be free.
Overall, if you have about 2 hours and are in no particular hurry for food or beverages, it's probably an alright place to eat. But for the love of God, do not try to...
Read moreMan, this was almost one of the best experiences I've ever had at a BWW. Everyone is scared of you-know-what, so the restaurant was mostly empty, and the wings came out fresh (and perfectly done). The music was still a bit louder than I'd prefer, but not at deafening levels like when they're packed. Nothing hit the spot like sitting at a table with friends with good food and not feeling like you're "missing out" if you're given too much ice. The entire time, I was honestly planning out my 5 star review.
The rating got knocked because of a waitress that apparently just doesn't listen to her customers. My friend ordered different drinks than he was planning because they were advertised as a much better deal. When the check was brought to us, his drinks were over twice the advertised price. When he asked about it, she just dismissed him as "maybe that's only a happy hour thing". If he actually missed a promotion, that would be fine, but she clearly didn't know and just made something up so she didn't have to bother checking.
Similar problem for me. We went on Tuesday for buy-one, get-one wings because it was quite the trip and I wanted leftovers. So I ordered a 20-piece, expecting to take the other 20 (and any I didn't finish) home. When our food was brought out, I was given 20. Next time she came by, I asked about the other order and spent a couple minutes trying to explain to her what I ordered. She finally seemed to understand, and went to change what was on my receipt. By the time I finished eating, I still hadn't gotten the other order so I asked about it. She seemed completely confused as to what I was asking for finally got her to put in the other order and we waited around for it to be made. Wings were great as before, but when the check came, I was charged for 4 10-pieces instead of the 2-20s (2x$14 instead of $22). Pointed it out and she just said "but that's the same number wings, it doesn't matter". Tried to explain that that made it 30% more expensive, but she just kept telling me it didn't matter. We didn't want the have to teach a whole elementary school math lesson for 6 bucks, so I gave up and just paid the extra. In hindsight I should have gone over her head, but it was late so we just got out.
Also, minor note but another example of her not listening, she asked if I wanted ranch or bleu cheese, "yes, ranch please", and then proceeded to bring the wrong one and seemed put off when I asked for the right thing. Again, the most minor of incidents that was easily remedied, but it was just another example of that employee seeming bothered by having...
Read more   Read moreSoooo... I've never visited the new Buffalo Wild Wings in homestead, and I thought its my bday don't want to do too much since its on a Tuesday and I have work the following day. Decided to go with my 5 year old and a relative. Well... Hmm I arrived around 7:30ish was seated about 15 min afterwards (which as fine)... NOW here's where it gets interesting------ My cousin and I were engaged in conversation before we really realized we had been sitting there 32 minutes without anyone even stopping by to say they would be with us in a few or offer a glass of water - smh So I went inside to speak with an associate to inquiry if someone would be assisting us, she stated give them a few more minutes and if no-1 comes she'll be happy to get a manager out to us... Sooo another 15 minutes or so went by and FINALLY a waiter came... who was not apologetic and was a bit in a rush. He took our orders and vanished with an update on status of our food or anything in which we waited about 25 minutes for which would have been fine if he would have updated us and tried to do a rush order on my 5 year olds order... so when the food finally arrived it was cold.. I didn't complain b/c at this point we were starving!!!! we had to go find someone when it was time to pay b/c he never came back! My visit was AWFUL!!! Not a great bday celebration - so to add I called a fews days after to speak with a manager and advise of my experience. I spoke with a Travis who was Very unprofessional and claimed he couldn't locate my check I guess to validate if I visited the store and then just told me I needed to call and report it someone else... I will not and do NOT recommend this location!!!...
