We had a little "hair-raising" adventure at the sushi spot last night. Picture this: our sushi roll arrives, and surprise! There's a long hair nestled in there, uninvited. Instant appetite vanishing act.

Then came the poke bowl, and let's just say it didn't exactly "bowl" us over with flavor. It tastes strange and we did not like it.

We decided to show our follicular find to the owner, who, in a bold move, suggested that maybe the hair had some daredevil ambitions and parachuted in from a passerby. I mean, it's the most adventurous hair we've ever met!

But wait, it gets even "fishier." The owner generously offered a 50% discount, claiming the restaurant needed to cover the cost of our hair-raising experience. A discount, or perhaps a hair-care voucher? We did not even have a chance to eat much since the hair experience and a poor tasting poke ruined the appetite. The owner just cannot stay honest, there are cooking team members with hair. He is not the only person working at the restaurant. It should not even matter where the hair came from if it was delivered with your food. Just admit and try to make it right.

And just when we thought the plot couldn't thicken any further, five minutes later, a plate-snatching operation unfolded before our eyes, as if they were worried we'd turn into culinary bandits. "No more bites for you!" Or maybe they tried to reuse the food.

In a world where service is spot-on, we'd expect the poke and sushi roll to be on the house after the hair debacle and strange tasting poke. But hey, who knew dining out could provide such unexpected twists and...

Since my bestfriend Michael showed me Ginza sushi about 10 years ago it's been Decade of Unbeatable Sushi & Service We've been coming to Ginza Sushi for the past 10 years, and it's safe to say, this place never misses. Russell, the owner, is not only a master at his craft but also one of the kindest and most attentive restaurant owners we've ever met. His dedication to quality and hospitality is a huge part of what keeps us coming back. The Avenger Roll is my go to. This is Russell's masterpiece. The roll is perfection with every bite--the fresh tuna, crispy fried onions, and just the right amount of spicy mayo create a flavor profile that's absolutely addicting. The way the textures blend together is something you can only get from someone who knows sushi like Russell does. Philadelphia Roll substitute the salmon with ahi and this is our friends go to. The cream cheese, fresh tuna, and avocado are perfectly balanced, making each bite creamy and rich without being overwhelming. This is comfort food at its finest, done with finesse. Miso Soup and edamame and seaweed salad are the regular apps we get. Every meal here is absolutely fire. Beyond the amazing food, what really makes Ginza stand out is the service. Every time we visit, we're treated like family. Russell and his team go above and beyond to make sure every experience is top-tier, and it's that level of care and attention that has made us loyal customers for a decade. If you're in Honolulu, you can't miss out on Ginza Sushi. We will be...

Excellent little sushi spot! Overall 10/10 (but limited experiences). I went here with a friend who's been a few times before, but it was my first time and we sat outside (so I can't comment on bathrooms or interior atmosphere).

Food: 10/10. We had the dragon roll, rainbow roll, fatty tuna and salmon sashimi, and spicy tuna hosomaki. Everything was fresh, FAST (talking less than 7 minutes between ordering and first plate arrival), and delicious. A lot of sushi places can struggle with quality and consistent ratios (too much rice), but our food was perfect and my friend attests that this is the norm.

Atmosphere: 9/10. Ginza is located in one of the many shopping districts in Oahu. You can park in the neighboring parking garage/shopping area, but be aware that the corners are quite tight and you may miss the turn for the garage at first (you have to pull through the garage bit, then turn left to go to the lower level). We sat outside, and it was a fairly quiet night (mid week, around 7pm). The sidewalk is at a bit of a slant, so adjust your things accordingly. I enjoyed being outside, although we did see some drunken shenanigans down the street.

Service: 10/10. Although we sat outside, we never felt forgotten or neglected. Drink refills came promptly and our food, as I said, was fast and excellent. Wait staff was quick, efficient, welcoming, and fun.

Overall, a great experience-- however, you should consider this review incomplete (no interior/bathroom...
