Its not bad, although a bit gimmicky. Its a sidewalk cart and it is fun to watch it being made. There are several flavors to choose from. I chose pineapple because Im in Hawaii afterall. The rolls are made by pouring liquid ice cream base on a cold surface which freezes it. The topping of your choice is then added by chopping up into little bitty pieces and stirred in. The mixture is then spread evenly into a large flat Square and a putty knife is used to scape it up into a roll. The reason I say it's gimmicky, is because once you start eating it all the ice cream rolls start smashing together inside the cup and turn into a solid block anyway. The pineapple tasted good, but I would say the ice cream base could use a little work. All the flavors I saw on the menu used what is described as a "milk-base" ice cream. Which basically tasted like frozen milk. Not sweet and not really creamy. If it didnt have the pineapple it would literally taste like milk. For $10 I probably...
Read moreI visited Ice Cream Rolls Hawaii at 8:30 pm and there was only a very short line ahead of me. I ordered the Matcha Green Tea ice cream rolls. The Banana Carmel was sold out, but that was not a problem since I didn't want to order that. Each dish was 12$ for six ice cream rolls. You can see the person working at the front making the ice cream through the see through stand which I will tell you is VERY SATISFYING WITH ASMR NOISES!!! I thought the ice cream was very good and would give it an 8/10. It had strong matcha flavor and you can get 3 free toppings to choose from. (There are around TWENTY toppings to choose from!) Would recommend extremely and it's not too pricy! SIDE NOTE- If you have seen other reviews with the price marked 10$...

I have been living in Hawaii for over 5 years and you would think there will be a lot of food & beverage options to refresh yourself from the hot temperature and this weather, but no - it was impossible to find a good ice cream on O'ahu. Everything is over sweetened and artificial, frozen. I tried Ice Cream rolls that Alex made and omg - this is 100% the best ice cream on the island. 2-3 simple ingredients, made right in front of you by the owner himself. Highly recommend! Matcha flavor was my favorite (I tried like 3 different ones and go there almost...
