I came here with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully there was not a lot of people, I think we must have missed the lunch rush. We saw this fusion food truck and thought this was a really interesting concept. We opted for the three taco mix plate and got a thai tea horchata.
The three taco plate came with chicken satay, crispy pork, and thai grilled beef. Unfortunately we couldn't eat most of this meal. Everything was overly salty and was honestly just not very well executed. All the meats tasted precooked and then reheated. The beef had an underlying seafood taste to it, and the chicken was a bit overcooked. The crispy pork was fine, but I really didn't think anything was too special about it. I think these dishes could be better balanced with a better sprinkle of lightness. While the tacos do have a little raw cabbage on the bottom, I think that's a sorry excuse for trying to elevate it to be fusion, then to top it all off with a spicy aioli really made the dish way too salty.
The thai tea horchata.. wow 100000/10. I would come back just for this. Honestly one of the most unique and delicious things I've ever had. I loved the overall spice that you got from the traditional thai tea flavors, and combined with the cinnamon and underlying nuttiness that is familiar to traditional horchata.
I don't think this place is terrible, but definitely has potential to be better. I think with some improvements on their execution of their tacos and meat reheating preparation this place can do really...

I’m so glad I stopped by Thai Tacos @ Waikiki — this food truck totally exceeded expectations!
From the moment I ordered, the crew was friendly and efficient, and my food came out piping hot and beautifully plated (for a food truck, that matters!).
I had the crispy pork belly taco trio, and each taco was a flavor bomb: the pork belly was perfectly crisped on the edges, juicy inside, and paired beautifully with the fresh cabbage, cilantro, and that creamy chipotle mayo. The balance of savory, tangy, and just a touch of heat was spot on. The tortillas were fresh and held up well without getting soggy.
The taco trio (mixing the pork belly with a couple of their other taco options) was a smart move — I got to sample more of their fusion menu, and every taco was equally flavorful.
And the Thai tea horchata? Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be such a clever mash-up. The creamy sweetness and hint of tea made it a perfect complement to the spice and richness of the tacos. It was refreshing, satisfying, and just plain fun.
The only thing to watch out for is the line — this place is popular, and for good reason. Expect a short wait during peak hours. But I’ll say this: it’s absolutely worth it.
If you're in Waikiki and craving something unique and tasty, you won’t regret...
Read moreI got the mixed taco plate and paid an extra dollar for shrimp as I don’t eat pork. That extra dollar was for only TWO raw shrimp!! Looked cooked on the outside but upon biting into it, cold AF!! The curry chicken and the beef also cold, the only thing warm on my plate was the corn tortillas. Idk what the hype is abt this place bc I paid $21.xx for 3 shity ass tacos that at that point I’d rather get Taco Bell (and I don’t fw TB like that). Fusion food, yeah right LOL this place was a straight up joke. I spit out the food from my mouth and threw it all away. Even told the chicks in line that they should save their money as I showed them how I was throwing my full plate in the garbage. Btw who’s ever cooking, please note a little curry goes a loooong way. More is not always better. Just like the saying, “quality versus quantity” knowing the difference between the two will create a better result. Food for thought. But hey, don’t take my word for it, just don’t get mad when you too are throwing away...
