For cryin out loud change the name of the restaurant. You close at 9:30pm and don’t open til 6am, and the morning hostess is about as rude as they come. I’m up at 5, got my own breakfast before they even opened. Brought my kids down at 730 and requested the buffet for them. I was questioned (interrogated) 3x if I was going to get the buffet or order from the back as well. After saying no each time, first two times very cordially, I finally had to break it down and explain I went down the street to get breakfast at Kai Coffee since the hotel I’m staying at doesn’t have 24 hour food service as the name implies. She made sure to tell all the waiting staff I wasn’t getting the buffet as she lead us to our table. She confirmed my name and room, so I assumed payment was all sorted. Every other Hilton you stay at, you pay for the buffet and hot bar up front.
From the time we sat, until the kids finished their breakfast we weren’t acknowledged. Which is fine, I didn’t need assistance, but when we go to leave we are chased down to sign a tab with a tip option. Never even greeted by any of the servers, and I informed the hostess from the beginning the charges were going to the room, so what is there to finalize? Literally no greeting, no water, got our own utensils, and after 30 mins chased us down like we are dine and dashing for what? In hopes of a tip, maybe? It was just weird and awkward.
They explained because of Covid they aren’t 24/7 any more… ok… the excuse is getting a little worn out. Not sure how that matters in 2025 but ok. Yes, I am annoyed by the name of the restaurant impart due to my own ignorance. Took the kids on a long hike up at Ka’ena point for a sunset. 12 hour day exploring the island and we were beat. we were too tired to stop on the way home for dinner, just figured we’d get something at the hotel and head up to the room. We show up at 9:45… and guess what… kitchen was closed.
I know it wasn’t anyone’s fault on shift… but I was hot… kept it to myself.. Didn’t take it out on any of them, but man that was aggravating.
Top it all off learned the next day they are cashless which I personally think should be illegal. After that, and the whole distrust of me at the buffet lol, I Just ended up avoiding the restaurant all together. I suggest Eggs and Things or Kai Coffee a block away. Awesome service and they’re open early. Feel free to spend 9000 for month long stay… but don’t dare enter the buffet area without ordering from it… you’ll be monitored and ignored at the same time!
The young lady who works the morning though as a server was very polite and on top of things our first morning there. She was great.
Checking the reviews to see if maybe I’m just sensitive… seems I’m not only one who has issues with the hostess… and now here comes the “Aloha Dan”… save it, I’m done with Hawaii and Waikīkī, and especially MAC...

Review
If you dont have vegan options, so what... but to lie about having vegan options is diabolical
Unless you have some medical condition that will require you to call and verify menu items and cooking procedures.
M.A.C. 24/7 Restaurant and Bar managment has no qualms about bending the truth to get your business and take your money.
In the pursuit of profit M.A.C. 24/7 Restaurant and Bar uses false and deseptive advertisement to promote their establistment.
It's absolutely unacceptable for the public to have to call a restaurant to see of they're menu is truthful
When it comes to food this level of blatant deception makes it hard to see there behavior as anything less the malicious greed.
This isn't a case of a lack of consideration.. they knowingly sale cross contaminated menu items they specifically advertise as vegan.
All food is prepared and cooked | grilled on the same surfaces. No separate stations, equipment or utensils.
If a restaurant is willing to lie about their menu items, What other corners are they willing to cut?!
Hopefully this review will prevent someone from eating here and getting sick in the future.
If your food isn't kosher it's not kosher.... if your food isn't vegan and it's not vegan.
If the menu didn't say vegan I wouldn't have call to verify or even agreed to eat here or felt the need to write a review about your deceitful practices.
Vegan isn't just the item it's how it's prepared. If you're not willing to do the extra work don't lie to the public for profit.
Mahalo...
