I luv this restaurant and i try to tip well, i always make phone orders and as i said before i truly love this restaurant. but the rudeness over the phone is something that will ensure i do not eat here again. it is right down the street from my apartment so with sadness i will say the frustration will keep me from ordering again. I often have questions about the menu and i always try to be prompt to ensure im not wasting the time of the staff, my order never takes more than a couple minutes. despite this I often get rude vibes from the person on the phone so this last time i just told them, if it is such a hassle for you to answser a couple questions for me about the menu then i simply will find aNother restaurant.
Sorry pattaya thai but i will not be eating here again. it just keeps happening and i find it frustrating, we all work hard and on this island and i dont expe3ct anyone to bend over backwards, but decency is a must.
additionally this is absolutely unconfirmed but i do feel that they have adjusted prices depending on the day as if to see if they can almost haggle the price higher, some days sauces will cost exxtra other days they wont, some days exchanging the protein for seafood will be only 2 dollars other days it will be 3 or 4. i eat here so often i notice that the dinner menu prices are inconsistent going up and down seemingly dependent on the person taking theo rder and how much they thihnk they can get frrom you. I dont know, i am just sad because i like this restaurant but i really dont...
Read moreUnbelievable. My second attempt to try to get dinner at this place since I always walk by it from the gym. Me and my gf sat outside with our dogs and waited for the guy to give us menus and drinks for ten minutes while he wipes the bar counter inside. Perhaps it's better to sit inside to catch their attention. Not sure. We waited for over an hour until I finally went inside to talk to the lady who was cashiering and asked her why it's taking so long. Instead of apologizing her response was that they only had one cook. I wasn't looking for any comps because we ordered a big meal (we were very hungry) and they didn't even start on our order. No apologies, no comps, no nothing. As a customer with some business sense, I highly advise to hire more workers especially on Friday nights and the weekends. As the busiest times, families not only want to enjoy a good meal but also a good service. Tell your waiters to not be afraid to check on each individual tables especially if they are sitting outside. Sounds to me like the food isnt the issue here... it's the service....
Read moreAs I walked into the restaurant, I was met with a less than welcoming greeting, being yelled at as I entered by the unfriendly male waiter. However, my mood quickly changed as soon as I took my first bite of the excellent food. While the female owner spoke English, I found it a bit difficult to understand. When I asked for recommendations on popular dishes, the response of "everything" was not very helpful. It took some persistent questioning, but I was eventually able to get her to recommend some standout dishes. For appetizers, I highly recommend the pork jerky, Thai sausage, crispy rice salad, and larb, but would suggest skipping the papaya salad. As for mains, the pad see ew, pad prik gaeng, panang curry, and pad gra-prow were all outstanding. But the absolute highlight of the meal was the mango sticky rice for dessert - it was simply the best thing in the world. While the lack of a friendly host and Thai ambiance was a bit disappointing, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, I give this restaurant five stars for their...
