Coffee is well priced and the baristas are welcoming! Only problem I have with this place is that I wish they were more transparent about themselves. If you’re a 1 hour coffee shop just say that and make that known. I went to this coffee shop for about 3-4days. First day I got a day pass for the workspace which is $29/day. But you don’t need a day pass to access the WiFi. 2nd day I worked all day no problems . 3 rd day I worked, and was pressured to buy coffee..no big deal, coffees not too expensive. 4th day I was told they have a one hour limit even tho there were plenty of tables open. I typically get there around 6:30am so can’t imagine it’ll be packed until 9am. Around 7:45 I was getting pressured to leave. Okay fair enough. Except that I had a meeting at 8am that I needed wifi for and would leave after that. Mid meeting I’m approached by staff and they begin talking to me while I have headphones on and I’m in a meeting. I kindly tell her that I’m in a meeting and she continues to speak to me. Personally, I think this is rude. If someone is in a meeting for their job, I think reminding someone about the 1 hour limit is less of a priority. So going forward please do not to talk to people while they are mid meeting. You never know how important or urgent the meeting is. I will not be coming back due to this exchange but wanted to be transparent about...

Superb cappuccino and cortado in elegant rooftop setting downtown Honolulu. This establishment was recommended by Phillip, masterful barista at Cafe Villamor and another kind gentleman at the Saturday farmer’s market. The barista at Kaimuki Curb also recommended Try as that’s where they redirected customers when their espresso machine once broke down. Coffee was elegantly prepared and brought to our table while we enjoyed the sun in a quiet open space that invites one to linger. There is also a clean, bright We-work type of space indoors. Beans are sourced from across the world with focus on quality. Strong coffee flavors, complex, rich notes, and luxurious crema make this a premier Oahu destination for me. Even stopped on the way to airport for second visit to confirm and enjoy the quality. Unfortunately could not spend more time enjoying rooftop patio which deserves 5 stars on its own as something I would expect at a 5 star hotel, and available for just a few dollars. Try this establishment yourself - you won’t be...

This is by far, one of the best coffee shops on the island. The coffee is sourced fresh and the owner is incredibly friendly! Every time I visit this spot, I feel a sense of welcoming and friendship among the baristas. They truly know how to connect with you and their knowledge on coffee science surpasses any other shop.

The atmosphere is excellent and its such a great place to unwind and cowork with your friends. If it's raining, the patio can become very limited as the inside space is used for a membership-only coworking space.

Overall, this place is a must visit if you are visiting the island. The location is tucked away in a small shopping center, but I promise its worth the visit.

FYI - insta worthy...

With an owner that's super experienced working in specialty coffee, TRY is always very meticulous about the roasters and the beans that they feature in the shop. It's a multi-roaster store so they rotate their coffee options frequently, and somehow they're always able to secure rare and exciting coffees! Highly recommend visiting multiple times to try different filter coffee options. For those that don't drink black coffee, it's worth noting that they also have some of the best-trained baristas on the island as far as milk-steaming and pouring techniques, so their Cappuccinos and Lattes are super on point as well. Added bonus - there's a nice lanai with plenty of seats.

A eccentric little coffee shop in ward village. The coffees they have are always unique and flavorful. They have locally produced matcha tea as well. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and takes coffee seriously. They made a “bad” cup one time and remade it before they would give me an inferior coffee to their standards. The interior is spacious with lots of cool little art pieces around. The lanai is really nice with ample seating. Bathrooms are excellent as well. A nice place to grab a world class coffee and relax.
