We came in as a party of 8 with a reservation for 7pm. This is the absolute worst service, and the food was way worse.

To start, they had no menu, but they had qr codes to scan on the table. When we asked about a few questions about some items on that menu, she said, "Ohh those are the old menus and not up to date." When it came to the food it just kept getting worse. One person in our party had a huge piece of uncooked chicken in their meal. Unfortunately they only noticed it after then had eaten a piece and realized it was completely pink in the middle. I'm not talking a little pink, I'm talking extremely pink.

Another person ordered their meal without zucchini. Their meal showed up with zucchini, and they reminded the waitress that they did not want zucchini. She took his food back. After we were all finished eating our meals, they finally brought his meal out. Well over an hour after we had been there. I and one other person went with something super basic and ordered orange chicken. It was the grossest orange chicken I've ever had. It was rubbery chicken in what tasted like a pool of watered down barbecue sauce.

Not once did we get offered refills on our drinks. No one asked us how our food was.

We are from out of town, but a place like this back home would never survive with food at like these. I'm hoping one person doesn't get...

I have been driving past this restaurant for years and whenever I do I always think I should stop by some time. I finally got around to it today and am very glad I did. My wife, son, and I stopped by at about 2pm on a Sunday. It looked like about three out of every four seats was filled. Pretty busy. Yet we waited only about five to ten minutes before being seated. Our waitress, while plainly very busy, was nonetheless helpful and attentive. I had four selections from their sushi/sashimi list and they were all excellent. Very fresh fish that was of a very good quality. The bluefin tuna practically melted in my mouth. My wife had the chicken katsu. Also very good. Crispy with tender chicken. My son had the shrimp fried rice which he enjoyed and tasted excellent when I tried some. We also ordered drinks and a couple of desserts. I experienced a bit of sticker shock when I got the bill. About a hundred for three entrees, three beverages, and two desserts. However, as good as the food was I ended up paying it without any hesitation. I dont mind paying a bit more for high quality fare. The tip was calculated into the total. I dont plan on coming back terribly often but for the occasional, perhaps once a year, splurge I think its safe to say we will be...

I am constantly disappointed with the service at Kobe. I’m not sure how they manage to stay in business. The sushi used to be pretty good, but every time I have to deal with the staff I am reminded why I don’t eat there and the sushi has gone down in quality. I will not dine in. My latest attempt was for take away. Consistently when I have tried to use the online order, there have been problems and the order usually isn’t accepted and I have to call. When I called this time, I was told the online system is not working but I could order on the phone, but the website defaulted back to the waiting page whenever I tried to bring up the menu. I told the lady on the phone I would call back as soon as I got the menu to load again and called back 2 minutes later. I could not get through for another 5-10 minutes. When I finally got through I was told I could not put an order in as the kitchen was closing even though it was still 30 minutes before the restaurant was supposed to close. I am done with the establishment and will actively discourage anyone that ask from...

Such an appealing place, inside and out. My family were intrigued by this restaurant just as we were passing by at Hood River, and decided to have our "linner" here. Fortunately, we came at a non-busy time and didn't need a reservation for our party of six, which is the typical rule for the place during busier hours. The inside was very clean and quite classy, with a good view outside of the river. Our food came pretty quickly, and everything that we ordered tasted wonderful and fresh. The calamari appetizers were so tender and crunchy at the same time, well-cooked. They have pretty good unagi and udon soup, that I would also recommend. Service was excellent! Our waitress was super friendly and checked up on us a lot, making sure to bring us anything we asked for or needed. My dad even made a huge mess of spilling soup on the floor, and the staff were still very kind to us regardless of all of that. It's a bit out of the way from where I live or regularly visit, but if I ever come back to the area, I'd definitely want to eat here or any of the other Kobe locations.

Tucked conveniently right off the freeway and just steps from the waterfront, this casual yet stylish spot is a great find for both locals and travelers. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with a relaxed vibe perfect for everything from casual dinners to game nights. A couple of TVs play sports without overpowering the ambiance, striking a nice balance between entertainment and conversation. The full bar is a standout feature, offering a wide selection of cocktails, craft beers, and sake to pair with your meal. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh sushi, a hearty rice bowl, or steaming noodles, the menu caters to a wide range of cravings with both Japanese classics and creative twists. With friendly service, a scenic location, and a laid-back atmosphere, this spot checks all the boxes for a solid dining experience—especially if you’re looking to unwind with good food and drinks after a long day. Would definitely return.
