Ordered from Newks.com and this location for the first time tonight...and it will be the last time.
We didn't have time to eat before work tonight, so someone suggested Newk's because they deliver. So I got online and created an account and placed an order for 3 employees at work.
Delivery is apparently through Door Dash. Deliver was prompt and driver called to let me know when she at the front. No issue with the deliver.
We ordered a: soup and salad, soup and bread, and a sandwich and coleslaw.
Not received in the order were the bread and the coleslaw. I called the store directly and spoke with a young man who said all he could do was have the food waiting for me to pick up. I told him this no acceptable as we are unable to leave work, which was why we had it delivered in the first place.
I then spoke with the female manager. She offered a partial refund for the missing coleslaw, but she said the bread order did not come through. I told her a refund was not acceptable as we still needed food to eat tonight.
She suggested a place another delivery order, but would not refund the delivery fee. I informed her that I would not pay for her mistake and have to pay another delivery fee.
That was the only resolution she offered, so I got back online while she was on the phone, but delivery was closed. She said sorry, I can't help you then.
I asked to speak to the GM or have their number. She refused to give me the GMs name or number. She stated she would give the GM my number and have her call me tonight. Never received a call.
I did receive a partial refund, but that still left two employees hungry. We ending up going to Jimmy Johns to complete our orders.
As for the food, I can't give a fair review because the customer service was so poor that it impinged my honest review.

Read moreI normally go to this location for food being that it is the closest to my residence and never had any issues. Last night, I decided to order take out for a pizza and run inside to pick up. After entering the building, I notice that there was one female customer getting cashed out by a female employee. After getting in line, a gentlemen walks and stands behind me with a food item from the grab and go fresh deli bar. Once the customer in front of me walks off, the cashier tells me to wait one moments so that she may quickly cash out the male, whom again, walked up after me. Trying to process her request and why I was prompted to wait and not be serviced, I thus, could not come up with any real logical excuse as to me being skipped without an explanation. My thought process was maybe the male was getting assistance prior to me entering the building from the employee, walked off, and she wanted to finish him up or maybe she thought I needed to order and she seen just one thing in his hand. As I pondered on the situation, still nothing made sense as to why was skipped in line to service the gentlemen behind me with no logical explanation being provided since I was being the person overlooked. Now I have never been the person to play on race but yes, I am a black, young woman and yes, the gentlemen and worker were both white. I have never used race, unless, race applied and in this case, I'm not sure what else it could be other than that. Nonetheless, I do know that, unfortunately, for the world we live in that racial discrimination is very prevalent and relevant. Read moreI experienced the best in customer service in a very long time. I called in an order for the Shrimp Avacado Salad with a slice of Lemon Cake. Upon my arrival the cashier called my order back to me for confirmation. It bag was brought to me and l departed. Arriving home and opening my carry out, to my taste buds disappointment the Red White &Blue Salad was before me. As I hurried to call before closing and got and answer, I was told that the store manager would take care of it on my next visit and they they would send me a GC in the mail. I provided my address and befor ending the call I was told to come in today 6/4/17 for the correct salad. Upon arriving I explained to the cashier, she informed the manager, the your man I had spoken with was also working and he confirmed my situation. I was served the most religious salad and lemon cake ever. The manager came over to speak with me to be sure I was comfortable and that the salad was good, the cashier checked on me and as I finished the young man that took my call also stopped to be sure everything was ok with my meal.
