I called early last week to make a reservation for 20 people that would have been approximately 10-11 days away. I gave the person on the phone my info and my reservation and was told I would be called back by a manager to confirm my reservation. I was never called. I called back tonight to make sure everything was good to go for our reservation and was told that unfortunately they were booked and did not have us down for a reservation. So I said thank you and hung up. I called back and asked for a manager and was given Ed. I kindly (by kindly I mean I never raised my voice or was ugly in any way) explained my situation to Ed. Ed did apologize that I never received a call back. I said I was just trying to find a middle ground and could we come in and maybe just sit at different tables close together. Ed said “I’ll tell you what you can do, you can come in and we’ll seat you all over the restaurant”. I said “Well this is a Christmas party so we really wanted to be at least somewhat close together. Is there nothing you can do since this is y’all’s fault, can we meet in the middle somewhere?” He then proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t their fault and I said it was because if I had received a call back then I would have had time to get a reservation at a different restaurant. He said “I told you that you can come and we’ll seat you all over the restaurant. We have a lot of big parties coming in so we aren’t seating y’all together”. At this point I said just forget it and hung up. This is horrible customer service and I hate to say it but I will never eat here again which is sad because normally we have great customer...
Read moreWe made a reservation for NYE. Got sat quickly. After a little while, the server came over & set our expectations low immediately from the start that they were busy and we needed to know what we wanted when he came back. Which we knew and didn’t mind. When we tried to order, he looked like he was extremely frazzled. Upon ordering, I let him know my daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic and she wanted a Kids Cheese Pizza. We tried to Google the carbs and looked on the website and couldn’t find any information. When he came back, we asked if he could find a manager and double check for me. He came back and said the manager said “No idea”. So I asked for the manager. She came out and I told her we need the carb count for the kids pizza and she had the nerve to tell me my daughter can’t eat that and I told her yes she can we just need nutritional info. She then preceded over and over to tell my child to get the grilled chicken instead and she did not want that. After about 5 mins, I told her she wanted the Pizza again. So she went to double check on it. She waved for me to come over to her by the kitchen. I sent my husband instead and again she had no idea so that was completely pointless. After, our server sets plastic silverware on our table and said they didn’t have any clean. We let him know we all got steak and that wouldn’t work. He did finally bring out forks & knives. Forgot our apps and they took them off. Overall, food was okay. Definitely need nutritional info/carb count posted somewhere. Was not an...
Read moreI took my 6 yr old grand daughter to Saltgrass 12/28/19. The wait for a table wasn't too long. The food was average and the service wasn't too bad either. My server was nice and he tried his best but.... he never brought our salad. The ribs were not fall off the bone tender. The chips for my spinach dip were a little too done for my taste. The server said they would comp those because he said they had not changed the grease the chips were friend in but they never did. Instead they came back and told me there was nothing wrong with the chips. They said the chips were dark because the chips were corn chips and not flour chips. I ordered steak fries and instead I was given diced potatoes and they too were dark as though they were cooked in "Old oil". The server was supposed to bring us to go cups and never did. I called back once I got home to speak to the manager (as they were very busy while I was there and I didn't want to cause anyone else to have the issues I had) I spoke to the manager and all she offered me was a free salad the next time I come in. I asked her if I get a side salad with my meal why would I want 2 salads... She then offered me a free salad if I should be coming through town and wanted to stop in and pick it up. Chances are great I will not be back to Saltgrass. I paid over $50 plus a tip for a meal for a 6 year old and myself and I received a comedy of errors and average food and all I was offered was a free side salad with my next meal (that comes with a...
